Running back Bryce Brown was not present at Bill Snyder Family Stadium for Saturday’s game.
When asked about Brown’s status, Snyder said he hadn’t spoken with Bryce since a Sept. 25 game at Miami and was still unsure about his future with the team.
“It is a difficult time for him,” Snyder said. “There are things he’s trying to work through and a lot of people trying to help him. It’s going to be important for him to reach out to those people and try to get things straightened away.”
Snyder said Brown’s problems were personal.
“It’s not about football right now at all,” Snyder said.
Whether Brown, a former top-ranked recruit out of Wichita East, rejoins the team this season is unknown. At least one player said he would welcome him back.
“I hope he comes back and be with his family,” running back John Hubert said.
