His Butler.

Anyone find it curious that the advertisement(s) / notices for the Friday practice has just blown up in teh last few days?

CLK sends out his letter to fans, asking them to come.....it's mentioned again in colored section of the KNS Sports Page......you cannot turn on the radio without someone making mention of it.....it's been mentioned on local news...

They've known for months when the first full-contact scrimmage would be....and have had weeks to make such decisions and offers. Why such a strong and recent push? It's not the Fire Marshall thing, because they could have done that weeks ago, too.

When was the deluge of VN EF Huttons beginning to publicly say, "Lock" for BB to The Hill? Coincidence?

What do these two things have in common:
  • Coaches were publicly introduced, as a full group, for the first time. In TBA.
  • Eric Berry was recognized for his All-American honors (The 72nd such award bestowed on a Tennessee player, for those scoring at home). IN TBA
Anyone else see the ingredients for a similiar recipe, Friday night?

VSPN, if you can comment without breaching confidence, do you believe that Butler still has appreciable input into BBs decision at this stage?

Input? Somewhat. I believe Butler can kill this whole deal with one action, but I don't believe the staff will be baited into that.

Bulls... Meet Eye...

VSPN can you tell us what the relationship between butler and grand is? Do you know who has been talking to bb from our staff the most?

Chaney and Kiffin have been Bryce's main guys. He has met and talked to Gran obviously, and Gran may be the "closer" here, but Chaney and Kiffin are the ones who did the in home.

Kevin thanks for all of the info this helps. You have been the goto guy on this thread. One last question. Why is butler not on board?

I'm probably reading this wrong, but are you saying they might introduce Brown as a future player at Friday's practice in front of 10,000+?

No. In no way shape or form was that meant to intend to bring on such a conclusion. That will NOT happen.

I haven't said Butler is not on board. Butler hasn't seen or met anyone I know of, so he hasn't had a chance to be on board.

Wouldn't that be a recruiting violation? It might be just a secondary one but a violation nonetheless.

I think when brown signs with us... he should put on a coon skin cap and rip his shirt off... WildBoyz

I thought butler and grand knew each other from camps that grand ran in the Midwest. I know that oku was recruited by grand when grand was at UA. Thanks again.

Butler along for the visit brings up a red flag. Could be suspicious in the eyes of the NCAA.

What he was saying is that they are promoting the practice more and more and making it open because Bryce will be in attendance and they know that so they want it to be good!

Eddie Gran? Our RB coach... I haven't heard of him doing any camps in the Midwest. I had heard rumors that Chaney, from his days at Purdue, knew Butler.
