I'm not a rules expert but I think I read that the college coach is not allowed to be there. That's why you see HS coaches and parents at signings but never college coaches.

It wasn't implied that the coaches would be present, just that he could sign an LOI while here, which is entirely feasible.

Maybe he can just pop in a Kinkos.:p

That would be.....

AWESOME.

I think he has pretty much given Kiffin and the rest of the staff a commitment. Kiffin looked pretty composed today on PTI (not like some one who has the #1 player in the country coming in 3 days before he signs his LOI)

he could be use to it remember he was USC prize recruiter but he was VERY composed

Why exactly was this announcement not 'official' until it was posted on TOS?

I'm not really enjoying our relationship. I sorta like the idea that posting something here first means it was posted here first.

Am I allowed to post that?

Finally caught up with this thread. Good lord I don't know how much more I can take. My wife is wanting me to go out to eat but I'm afraid of how many post there will be when I get back. As far as staying on topic, Bryce Brown.

anyone seen my catfish?

Sorry BPV, but they rolled him in corn meal and dropped him in hot oil.

Rest assured he didn't go to waste. Yaw yaw went through his innards, and found 4 crawfish, which he consumed.

He lived a noble life, helping deliver BB to Knoxville. He will be remembered as a martyr.

Can a coach be present when I sign the National Letter of Intent off campus?

No. A coach cannot be present when you sign a National Letter of Intent off campus. Pursuant to NCAA Bylaw 13.1.6.7.1, any in-person, off-campus contact made with a prospect for the purpose of signing a National Letter of Intent or attendance at activities related to the signing of the National Letter of Intent is prohibited.

Is it permissible to receive a National Letter of Intent while on campus for an official or unofficial visit?

Yes. While under the terms of the NCAA and National Letter of Intent program a coach or institutional representative may not hand-deliver a National Letter of Intent off campus, there is nothing that precludes you from receiving a National Letter of Intent while on campus for an official visit. Please remember that you may only sign a National Letter of Intent during a permissible signing period. Furthermore, signing a National Letter of Intent is a big commitment. Accordingly, it is strongly suggested that you consult your parent or legal guardian in this decision-making process.

So basically, he could sign while he is here...and at practice on the 50 yard line with everyone cheering him on.

It will be much easier if you just have her go pick it up and bring it home. Priorities, man, priorities!
