I agree with every element of your description of what we would probably see if Bryce Young started. So I’m not normally one to post this type of thing but it has consumed me for the last couple days. I personally think we are better off if Young plays rather than the backup. Milroe scares me more than BY does for the simple fact that he’s a big guy who can run and is healthy. He is a true dual threat. Yes Bryce CAN run but he is always in the pass first mindset and even when scrambling makes running a last resort. Couple that with him having an injury and I think that the play calling will be much more conservative with Young in the game due to Bama not wanting him to scramble much to protect him. With Milroe I would think the playbook is wide open.
Am I being overly analytical here?
And that is precisely why I'll bet @Behr 's car right this minute that he won't.
Behr's money says we're not gonna see Bryce Young in the game tomorrow unless things are going seriously wrong for the Tide after the end of a quarter and a half of football. And maybe not even then. Saban may accept the chance of defeat to the Vols to get his man healthy for the SEC West slate to follow.
The title to Behr's Corvette says it's a fact.
Go Vols!
