For sure, a lot more talk this year about how blowing out bad teams is a way to manipulate the NET.
None of the regions make “a ton” of geographic sense though, so that’s why to me I’d rather have the 1 seed and “easier” matchups. As for what the committee will weigh more, your guess is as good as mine.Do you feel like that will outweigh a much more difficult conference and overall schedule with the committee? My thinking is that we get the #1 seed as long as we don't lose more than one of these last 3. Might actually be better for UT as a #2 seed if it puts us in a bracket that makes geographic sense. Really not much difference being the fourth 1 seed or the first 2 seed.
Bodying up a defending in the mid post and hitting a turnaround fadeaway is a go-to move from Jaylon Brown. Derrick White also frequently posts up on inversions against smaller guards. Heck, Chris Paul frequently posts up against larger guards, simply because he's strong enough. Have you been watching the NBA lately?Helps that he has little to no class load. If I was a potential lottery pick and millions of dollars were in my grasp, best believe I'm putting up thousands of shots too.
Heck....if I go to the park and can't find some teenagers or young men to beat up on with my "old man game" then I spend a couple hours practicing crossover step back 3's, midrange pullups, floaters, baby hooks in the post and turnaround jumpers. All these young guys seem to think the game can only be played facing the basket and don't know how to use leverage and a forearm check in the back on defense when they get posted up.
They also don't understand bodying up a guy to direct them the way you want or knock them off their driving line without fouling....been watching too much modern NBA.
Still, there are elite players who don’t put in this amount of work. I credit the young man for putting in the hours.Helps that he has little to no class load. If I was a potential lottery pick and millions of dollars were in my grasp, best believe I'm putting up thousands of shots too.

I don't think every call goes against Tennessee like many on here do. It's just lame to be blaming the refs for every loss and throwing conspiracy theories around. You could go to an Auburn message board and the same stupid complaints would be thrown around. Last night they did have the evening out stretch that helped Auburns comeback. I hate it when they do that. At the end of the game we had fewer fouls and more free throws.
This is not a kicked ball. The kicked ball rule is to keep players from intentionally kicking the ball to prevent a pass, dribble, etc. Accidental contact is not a kicked ball violation.Question for y’all about the kicked ball rule:
Twice Tennessee dribbled a ball off an Auburn player's foot. Play was allowed to go on and Auburn got a TO each time, once leading to a fast break bucket.
Shouldn’t those have been ruled kicks? Even though the Auburn player didn’t initiate the contact to his foot, I thought it was always ruled a kick?
I have a feeling he hits 3 or 4 vs BamaLeave it to you to find a negative lol…teams are still defending him like he’s a major threat from 3, which helps open things up for Knecht. With Aidoo and Awaka doing what they’re doing in the post, JJJ using his mid range game and then what Zeigler and Knecht are doing from all 3 leaves, you don’t want Vescovi forcing low percentage drives/mid range etc…he’s a threat from 3 and I would venture to guess he’ll have another game or 2 with multiple 3’s and scoring double digits, he’s perfectly fine stepping back offensively while still doing all the other things for the betterment of the team.

Three things, as I understand it: 1.) If the foot is planted on the ground when contact is made with the ball, it is not a kicked ball, 2.) Incidental contact even with the foot raised is not considered to be a kicked ball violation, and 3.) Any contact above the knee is not considered a kicked ball violation.Question for y’all about the kicked ball rule:

Back in the 90s it wasn't Ewing and Robinson that the kids wanted to be, it was Jordan, and Kobe after that. The biggest difference is these days they've figured out you can shoot 3s about as consistently as midrange jumpers, except you're usually open and it's worth more. All these best post players like Porzingis and Embiid learned distance shooting to help spacing and clear their defender out of the lane (I recall Sam Perkins being one of the earlier big men to realize this) and how to drive past those defenders if they followed them out there. There are definitely guys in the NBA who still play with their back to the basket, especially when they have a specific advantage that leads to that type of game against the right matchup. But most kids emulate the biggest stars.
Many, not all, of these kids want that jumper over you or an attempt at driving by you even if they would be more efficient playing a different style. They want the "Oh ****" moment and they may get it but then lose 11-3 to my less flashy, more physical and consistent game that is fundamentally sound and exerts energy on defense.
Other thing to consider is that the 4th 1 seed doesn’t always end up in the same bracket as the top 2 seed. As the top 2 seed, you could end up having to beat the top overall seed to get to the FF. As the 4th 1 seed, the best team you’d possibly face would be the top 2 seed (and you might get an easier draw than that even).Do you feel like that will outweigh a much more difficult conference and overall schedule with the committee? Yeah Auburn is a neat place to fly in to, very pretty. Coming from the west headed east, the campus appears to be surrounded by trees nestled in a compact area just off to your right. Golf course is just west of the field. Very nice! Crime is starting to overflow pretty bad from surrounding cities, what a shame.I figured you were the pilot.... should have used blue font for my bad joke. That is a great story and funny.
