1. Sorry boys, but you’re getting another hyped up postgame repot from BTO, the alcohol has been flowing since about 5pm in anticipation of this game and our Vols did not disappoint! We got our tails kicked in Lexington in embarrassing fashion and for the most part pretty much returned the favor to the Wildcats, what a game to watch, great atmosphere, just a hella good time all around!

2. Santiago Vescovi was an absolute gem tonight, if you didn’t pay attention and missed what he did to Grady all night long then go back and watch…he absolutely blew up screens, flight threw them, played to the strong hand and made life a living hell for Grady which halted anything Kentucky wanted to do…we will ignore the 18pts on 50% shooting, he was absolutely ruthless defensively on Grady.

3. Uhm Jonas Aidoo, how TF are you? People are going to question where he’s been, I sure am about to…18m 5p 7r 3b, stuffing Tschiebwe’s $h!t multiple times, are you kidding me?! And he never even bothered to flash his 18+ foot jumper that he has? If you’re Barnes idk what you do, the starting lineup is producing wins but outside of the first 3-4 minutes you aren’t playing BHH…so how do you work that? Idk. Aidoo showed a great presence tonight, exactly what this team needs at a 5, a rebounder and shot blocker, that it!

4. Speaking of posts…I won’t jump the gun on Fulk, but damn did he look good. Barnes saw a matchup with Tschiebwe 18’ out for Fulk and absolutely targeted it time and time again, that was flashbacks of Fulky of old, what a performance, I don’t expect that every night but if he can bring that energy and potential each night that’s huge for this team.

5. I’ll be negative for a second cause every postgame needs that, we have to keep Vescovi and JJJ out of foul trouble, Vescovi was fine tonight but it was JJJ’s turn. He’s so good defensively and offensively he’s so much better than what Powell is currently bringing, we have to do a better job of avoiding dumb fouls and making sure those 2 guys are on the court 35+ when it matters most.

6. Tennessee threw up a 112.0 ORTG and held Kentucky to 0.91PPP, that’s an absolutely gorgeous performance on both ends of the court…Tennessee’s scout defensively was :chefs kiss: literally, played to Wheelers right, ran Grady off the line, etc etc…the performance was good enough to move Tennessee to #27 offensively on KenPom and #4 defensively, holding their #10 spot overall but making a big move in closing the gap, they are now less than 1ppp away from being a Top 6 team on KenPom.

7. Ok so big picture, my favorite part…Vols now sit 19-6(10-3) with 5 games remaining, 3 toss ups and 2 you better win, at this point with the win tonight it would appear 3-2 would be the worst case scenario, making you 22-8(12-6), most likely a 3rd place finish in the SEC and fighting for 3/4 seed in the NCAAT. Arkansas is literally playing like a Top 5 team, we have to travel to their house Saturday…they just beat #1 Auburn there and will be waiting for us, little bit of house money since we won tonight but going to be a helluva test for sure, not sure what to expect. Anywho, gonna enjoy this one for awhile….

It is incredible the progress Vescovi has made on D from his freshman year. I’m glad he was mentioned at the top, he was stellar. The Z-Chandler-Vescovi-James quartet has to be one of the best in the country, and it doesn’t work without Vescovi defending with the tenacity he does. He’s gotta be All-SEC this year.

Let me add a #8

UK had no answer for ZZ when he was pushing the tempo cats were confused and no one had the speed to stay with him.
It gave KC the opportunity to play the 2 guard and he liked it.
Love the 3 guard set.....don't think UK liked the speed!!!

ZZ and KC are so smooth with the ball in their hands when they are dialed in.

There were some incredible assists with this combo on the floor.

Not sure why you don’t think Fulky can do this consistently as he’s been building up to this the last 3-4 games. It appears he’s recovering from his Covid setback. He’s able to play with energy 20+ minutes now. If he doesn’t have another setback he could end this season playing his best basketball.

I’m liking how this team is trending, especially ZZZ and Fulky peaking. If Aidoo can build off tonight’s performance. Gotta like our chances in the ncaa tourney!

All the bragging I did on Z, Chandler and Fulkey/Aidoo-- I just take Santi for granted. He is Golden for our team. Wouldn't be the same without him.

I don’t think you can put Aidoo in the starting line up just yet but he deserves to get more of Uros minutes. He catches passes with no issues and can be a wall on defense. I think ZZ, Fulk, and Aidoo can be a constant spark off of the bench.

I really want Powell to get out of the slump but even wide open threes aren’t going in. I hope something happens, him hitting threes will be needed come March Madness.

Vescovi is incredible on defense. I really can’t believe that is the same guy from years past. Even not being the fasted, no one recovers and sticks to their man like him. Incredible!

I thought Chandler did a good job second half of being a great teammate playing #2 and working flow of offense. Carrot top needs to be permanently on bench! He’s terrible! Vesco and Fulk led it and AIDOO is looking strong. I’d start him over Hh and Uros and Uros 3rd sub….great team effort and minus five blown layups damn good performance both ends.

Barnes deserves a lot of credit tonight. As bad as the scout was up in Lexington is was completely fixed with tonight’s. Kentucky never got in any type of rhythm and the game really was never in doubt after the first five minutes. This is the first time in my life that I haven’t heard those knuckle draggers do that stupid ass cats chant and it was glorious

@ BTO ... you da man!

re 3 ... I actually like the starting 5 (not sure it sticks) .. RB is still developing BHH (confidence) and Uros sets the mood! But Aidoo and Fulky played the most minutes 18 & 26 and were the most productive!
I like the emotional lift it gives BHH and Uros to start ... and really expect to see the same starting 5 @ Arky.
Aidoo gets tired pretty quick too ... I doubt he is 100% ... but his showing out at 85%.
re 4 ... Fulky still got tired but he played really hard and was VERY productive. You right RB exploited Oscar tonight! Come tournament time JF gonna be a beast!
re 7 ... Disagree 2 tossups and 3 you should win. I do not count the game against Arky at home a toss up. Better win is pretty strong statement, I just am not that confident.
I think we will go 4-1 or 3-2. I am hoping we do not have a let down at Arky, but that is what I expect after a big emotional win at home. If it was at home ... I would not be worried.

8. Added it for you :^)))) ZZ had another wonderful showing gave Grady a little something with that 3 over him. And begged Wheeler to climb his back.
9. 20-23 Free throws and the only people who missed were James and Santi ... I will take that every single night

RB outcoached Calipari tonight! No alcohol for me, but boy is it a merry evening at the house.
Now, I hope I am wrong about the game Saturday!
Going to watch the VY - AUB game tomorrow night and pull for a Cinderella night for VY.

This team is starting to believe. They showed some nerves early in the second half but once Ziegler came in he righted the ship. Against the Hogs on the road won’t be easy but the game plan should be fairly simple. Force them to make perimeter shots which they aren’t that proficient with. And don’t foul on the dribble drives. Arkansas lives on the FT line. Barnes needs to brush out the zone because I think it can be effective in our next one. Notae will take bad shots, so don’t bail them out by fouling them.
