I hope our guys watched FDU take down Purdue tonight. They were the attackers and you would have never guessed the seed disparity if you hadn’t known it. They absolutely did not play timid.

Phillips just has to get his head in the game. That’s my biggest take from the game.

We haven’t heard about his hip injury lately. I wonder how much it still bothers him. Especially with all of the blood spilling and refs still not whistling fouls. Except for the touch fouls 35’ from the rim.

His hip injury is/was not the reason he dribbles the ball too far away from his body when he tries to cut down the lane. He could become a very offensive player if he learns how to protect the basketball and be aggressive at the same time.

I might be alone but I think he is his own worse enemy right now. Athleticism is there, mentally he can't get through it. Another year of getting stronger, learning to dribble ball closer and lower, and confidence will go along way with this young man.
