Could make for some funny new commercials for Kasey "If you drink to much Bud always have a DD.... Thats Allstates stand!" For some reason I just don't see the two working well together.

But really now, does the brand of beer their favorite driver is sponsored by decide which brand people prefer? I was a Rusty Wallace fan, and Miller Beers give me hives. And Kodiak and other flavored chews are for women.

Add that i'm a Matt Kenseth fan, and after the commericials a few years back i wasn't exactly ramming down the liquor store doors to buy Smirnoff Ice. I drank one once. I was loaded when i drank it, and the beer was gone. And i sure as hell didn't like it.

Pepsi is pulling it's sponsorship of several races in order to concentrate onsponsoring the Dale Jr. car. At least that's the theory I heard. If that's the case, that much money combined with Hendricks' Motorsports will be hard to beat.

Jeff Gordon wins at Talladega... and is showered with a slew of... Pepsi cans.

A couple of things make me wonder if Bud is really going Kasey's way. It's clear Kasey is the 2nd most popular driver and maybe most now that the Earnhardt Nation is pissed but Everham equipment is junk and Kahane is like 25th in points this year and has struggled to make the Chase since it started. Do they wanna sponser a 20-25th place car just because he's a fan favorite? What about staying with DEI and sponsoring Kyle Busch? That way you have the rival with brother Kurt and Miller Lite?

wow I havnt thought about that, but that would make an interesting rivalry...i think Bud wants to stay with DEI and I agree that they should if they could get their hands on Kyle Busch...

that aint going to happen. according to jayski, Busch and DEI could announce at Indy that he will be coming to DEI for the 2008 racing season. Hendrick is not going to release him from his contract early.

thanks, in my unofficial capacity as an Earnhardt "hater" I feel compelled to point out the real world to his legions of fans.

that's not saying Jr. won't win a race this year with DEI, I realize that my comment could be construed as such, but "aint going to happen" was directed at Busch driving the #8 at Indy.

The equipment may not be up to par this year, but the whole two car situation, lack of resources, and not having a seven post shaker has hurt them. Next year the COT will be full-time, Ray will be more hands-on with the cars because Gillette will be running the business side of things and there is no question Kasey has the talent to be one of the Top 5 drivers.

He won more races last year than anyone else in that "junk" equipment.....
