Bullying- there’s more to the story

If all of the bullies actions were on the video and plain to see, it seems this should have been dealt with a long time ago. I'm sure this isn't the first time this kid bullied others or acted out.

My bus driver was a lot like my mom, you couldn't get crap past him, not even in the very back seats. And he didn't let crap like this go on.

Seems the bus driver let this go on longer than it should have.

But I wasn't there so I can't say for sure. I hope he didn't allow it to come to this.

Agree about the best s driver, and so did the principal. My daughter has fussed all day because she said they told him several times recently. You can hear clearly on the video and see my daughter tell him when that boy Was picking at the other girl that he needed to do something, and he did nothing.

I agree that it should have been dealt with, but I think the school did the right thing as using this as a teachable moment to joes daughter. What if joes daughter had enough of the bullying and did more than just a bruise?

Let the bus driver know, if it still goes on, then let a teacher/principal know. They can look at videos of the kid bullying and bus driver doing nothing and then discipline the bus driver too.

Hopefully in thus situation they are still talking to the bus driver.

Joe,
Do you only post on VN now and not work a full time job? It seems like just 6 months ago you were at 30k.

Technology is awesome!!

Wonder what the boy's parents said to him after they saw the truth? Cause he obviously lied to them about what happaned, and now they look like idiots for posting what they did on FB.

I bet the boy’s parents probably had an idea and wanted to get their “side” out first to influence public opinion. Kids like that usually (not always) come from crappy homes.

My wife woke up as I was falling asleep this morning, and said she had to show me something before I went to sleep. To start, there’s been a boy on the school bus that my daughter (the middle girl) has complained about for a while. He’s called her names, and even made a rape reference that she told on him for, but nothing was done. There was an altercation that got physical yesterday, and the boys parents took to local news page on Facebook. They posted pictures of their son ( who is the same age and as big as my daughter), with a bruised face and wrist. They had this long pitiful post about how their kid was being bullied, was attacked, and they were pressing charges. Of course everyone on the site was in poor kid mode, demanding justice for whoever did it. This is the first time ever that any of my kids have been in a physical confrontation. The school called today, and the whole incident happened on the bus, and was on camera. All parents were asked to come and watch, and here’s what happened. The camera not only recorded video, but sound. The boy was being a bully to several kids, calling them names, laughing at the way they looked, even making racist remarks to a black kid. My daughter was telling him to shut up, he was sitting in front of her, and was pushing at another girl. When he did that, my daughter jumped over the seat, grabbed his wrist that was out towards the other girl, and used a sweet move I taught her😉 to bend his arm, and jacked his jaw. She of course is in some trouble, and getting one day suspension, but the boy has been kicked off the bus for his actions. I don’t like bullying, and have always told mine I’d bust their butt right there at school if they were ever guilty. We just experienced firsthand that not all these stories are as they seem. If you had seen his parents on Facebook, you’d think my daughter was the bully (they never put a girl done it😆). She was actually standing up to the bully, and brought the boom. I’m gonna take her for ice cream tomorrow!

No wonder that kid is the way he is if his parents are on facebook threatening to press charges over a school fight.

Buy that girl of yours an ice cream.

Thats a turn from my school days - the bullies used to taunt the drivers really bad, more so than any kids -- calling them life losers, flunkys etc -- and they did nothing then either

I wish I could've been in there with them at the same time!

Don't buy this whole "good father", "move I taught her" stuff. Joe's obviously stealing his wife's thunder. Shame on you, Joe.

Not where I grew up. I was being a pure punk on the bus one day, and got into an argument with the driver. Being the punk I was, I slung my drink towards him. He pulled the bus over, walked back a jerked me out of my seat and said he'd rip my ******* head off and shove it up the tailpipe if I did it again. I didn't do it again, haha. I didn't run home and tell my parents either, they would've taken his side and beat my butt.

Great job by your daughter and great job by you and the wife for raising her to stand up for others!

Take her to have some fun on her suspension day. Maybe to a movie or something.
