To be clear I have no problem with German beer, I love it. But to act like no American beer is good is dumb. The Wise Acre brewing folks flew to Germany to study under head brewmasters to come back and perfect their recipes.German beer GOOD! American beer not so much.
Get you a Schwabenbrau (sp?) and give up those IPaddressintheshowerAs. You can thank me later.
I'll admit I've never tasted a Craft brewed beer. Maybe one of these days I will. Ever since we returned from Germany, tho, i haven't had a taste for American beer. Miller Genuine Draft in a bottle was pretty good. Can't find in the bottle anymore. Yuengling on occasion is not bad.To be clear I have no problem with German beer, I love it. Maybe you should clarify by what brands you are referring to as "Crappy American Beer" because their are plenty of craft brewers in America that do a great job.

I used to love Coors back in the 70s and Michelob in the 80s.
