I disagree on your third part, Bush will continue to spriral as the 2008 election looms large.. By then, he'll likely pass guys like Ford and Carter with his abysmal decision making down the stretch. Who knows what'll happen next in this circus act of his..

When you say hate do you really mean hate?

Given that hate is such a strong emotion, do you think those feeling visceral hate for the man can objectively evaluate any decision he makes?

I can't think of an elected official (past or present) that I hate. I can think of several whose personality I disliked and I can think of several whose policies I strongly disagreed with.
Perhaps hate is the wrong term. It would imply that I want something bad to happen, which I don't. However, I feel nothing but contempt for the man, and I feel that history will judge him as one of the worst presidents ever.

I can tell Bush has been listening to his poll data. Thats what makes him a great president. In touch with the will of the American People.
I didn't realize that elected officials were supposed to plan their voting philosophies around surveys and Gallup Polls...

good thing...him seeing his popularity figures I can't imagine why he would'nt wanna make anti-depressants subsidized. And as far as elected officials planning their voting strategies from polls...seems somewhere I heard that elected officials were SUPPOSED to speak the will of the people not speak their own will after their safely elected.

considering that you're only 19 and that you were essentially a toddler when Bill Clinton first raised taxes on dead people, you don't have a lot of experience to back up that assertion.

Some day soon the real world is going to welcome you into it's meat grinder and you won't be able to rely on a parent or teacher to spoon feed you your opinions.

I'm not implying that W. is the greatest President in history, far from it. But to say he's the worst, discounting Carter, Ford, and Fillmore shows a certain ignorance of US history.
To not say he is the worst shows ignorance.

Have any of our Presidents' positions really changed though since he was re-elected? I don't remember any campaign promises about bringing home troops to make people happy.

Every American should hate their freely elected President??? Are you also implying that we could not have overthrown Hussein during Operation Desert Storm?

who didn't win the popular vote:ermm:

The electoral college should be done away with- Bush would not have won if it was not in place.

Quite true, then I think the voting population is so frightened of change for the worse theyd re-elect anyone in as long as they know what their getting.

There is probably something to that. The past couple of Presidential elections the Democratic candidates have called for change, but done a very poor job of articulating exactly what the change was going to be if they were elected. Running on a platform of "I'm not the other guy" only gets you so far IMO.

Wow. I thought he didn't pay attention to polls and claimed to not be led by polls. And if he goes by polls and follows the will of the people, he'll be flopping on every issue on a weekly basis.

While a lousy way to run a nation, I hope he keeps polling. Gives my paycheck a boost. MORE POLLS!

I'd say that deserves a flaming :)

Let me see if I've got this straight; Bush is all about himself and enjoys pissing people off -- he likes the attention -- and that is why he is just like Hitler? Sounds more like Barry Bonds or Morton Downey, Jr.

i like that.:) W has more power though than barroid or MDJ. Barroid would like to think he has more though.

Wouldn't that have made him someone that cares only about power -- therefore someone all Americans should hate?

perhaps, but like i said the only thing the elder bush lied about is taxes. he seemed like a good man and a true american. W seems like a lost powergrubber who seems to careless what his own people think of him. he also seems to careless what happens to the nation. he is not good anyway you put it.
