Bussey's Replacement?

My reasoning for questioning the Bussey visit was nothing to do with UT being negative at all. Imo, just another instance of a poster like yourself trying to find a reason to complain or put a "spin" on/about what I had to say. Its cool.

I'm able to look at things and be objective. Here is my reasoning AGAIN.

If I'm a recruit and or parent of a recruit with Bussey's offer list why would I being in Louisiana and committed to Tennessee not fully expect the visit to UT the weekend before NSD to be an OV? Stay with me here for a moment.

Why would I have to pay to go from Louisiana to Knoxville myself when the school we are committed to should be paying the bill? Only 1 reason. The offer is no longer going to be honored as was previously thought. It's just that simple. Why would I pay out of pocket to go visit the school who does not see us worth the cost of an OV and or regular scholarship offer? They had just visited A&M, where dad wanted him all along, and that offer was no questions asked.

Being objective and not putting a negative "spin" on it. Imo the visit to UT and paying for it out of pocket didn't make much sense at all. Jmo

I'm honestly not complaining or spinning lol. I can typically handle your "objectivity" if you wanna call it that, but just being honest it comes off as anything but objective often times. You come off acting as if your opinion is all that matters or is the gospel and that simply isn't true. Everyone can't be wrong about you seeming negative at times. Nothing wrong with being negative at times...just own it IMO.

I actually do like your posts most of the time LV. Occasionally your posts get to be a little much and I find myself venting. That's all. It is what it is. We aren't all going to see eye-to-eye and agree on everything.

And BTW, I agree with you on the Bussey situation FWIW. Things happen and changes come about all the time in recruiting.

My apologies :hi:

Good decision IMO. With his offer list, anything but a full scholarship on NSD was an insult.
Maybe, but he stated in earlier interviews that this was his dream school, ever since he attended a track event here, years ago.

A blueshirt ain't nothing but a formality. He's a 3*, so it's not like we're talking about a blue chip recruit. Plus, a long offer list doesn't mean all those schools would still take him a few days before NSD. Not an insult at all. It is a merely a tool he and the staff can use to allow us to get an extra player or two on-board this year, rather than wait another year.

We have Abernathy's brother transferring from Cincinnati this year, and I expect he will be No.3 behind Kamara, this season, so we're in decent shape at RB. Especially if Paulk is indeed going to be re-admitted.

So,

Abernathy, Berry, and Bruce take us to 6. With Hurd, Kamara, and Kelly?

Possibly Foreman? Would be 7?

Any others?

I have to give it to this guy, he does have industrial size balls... already talking smack and he isn't even in school or even on the team yet.

This play perfectly represents TAM's history against LSU since they went to their flag football strategy, now I for one am not going to predict LSU will win, but I have serious doubts TAM is going to tear anyone up as I haven't seen them really play real football in about 4 years.

My buddy who has a good friend with in the program said this past weekend that Paulk wasn't going to come back and he was pretty confident about it. So I'm moving on, he talked about 1 berry's bein a rb.

My sister's friend's cousin's third-uncle's best friend knows the assistant ball inflation supervisor at UT, and he thinks they will have a post signing day "big fish" surprise to sign and play RB at UT.

I get your point... but this isn't a family who would sweat the cost of gas from New Orleans to Knoxville. Bussey went to Newman and his father spent years in the NFL and is now an executive. Having them pay out of pocket for an UOV sent a message that undoubtedly helped aTm, but it wouldn't have been a financial impediment.

The coaches had to know that Bussey wouldn't BS and preserving that option with an UOV signals that we were content to let him walk... or maybe even push him toward aTm. Water over the bridge now...
