1. If he's not fined a substantial amount by the commissioner's office then soemthing is wrong.

2. If I'm a Marlin and they so much as throw one on the inner half of the plate to Cousins their next game, Lincecum has played his last game in the majors that season the next time he walks up to bat.

It is baseball. Plain and simple. If I was a Marlins fan, and he didn't plow him over to win the game, I'd be so pissed. That is how it is supposed to be played. If that was me, I would have done the exact same thing. The GM is out of line with his comments. Also, the fans sending death threats need to get a grip. Aren't they the same fans that had one of their own beaten by opposing fans?? Then they send death threats. Classy.

completely agree. I just don't understand people sending death threats over sports.

Johnny Bench puts onus on Buster Posey's positioning - ESPN
I pretty much agree with everything Bench says about this.
"Show them the plate," Bench said. "You can always catch the ball and step, or step and catch the ball, as long as you've got the runner on the ground. And if you have the runner on the ground, there's less chance of any severe collision."
It's baseball and Posey has to know he's gonna get run over by being planted in front of home plate there.
