Don't kid yourself. He needs a bowl appearance. We need the extra practice time and exposure a bowl berth brings with it. I am not expecting an East title but 6-6 or 7-5 is not too much to expect. Beating Florida at home this year would do a lot of good as well.

Had a discussion with an Alabama fan today and he was even giving kudos to Butch. Says it looks like we got a great hire with CBJ. Also said he was baffled at Saban hiring Kiffin but that their previous OC had to go.

Butch would need to pull a 10-2 to even be talked about coach of the year. Lol.

It's still a top ten head coach job in college football, if not one of the best. Tradition, fans, facilities, national brand recognition, history, former great players, all time wins, decades of being relevant etc. etc.... and pretty deep pockets as far as the supporting cast goes as well.

This is key! If Butch can beat FL and get to a bowl game, I will be more than satisfied. Is that too much to ask? :dance2:
