IIRC since he signed the Financial Aid agreement Jones can openly discuss him as if he were on the team. Can anyone else confirm this? kthanks.

No. Once Malone signed his financial aid papers a couple weeks ago Butch was able to have unlimited contact with Malone and specifically discuss him by name.
