Offensive lineman, Antonio "Tiny" Richardson also was in attendance at SEC media days and was asked about the differences between Dooley and Jones.

"They're different, but we didn't do what we had to do (under Dooley)," Richardson said

hmmm...

Sounds like some personal responsibility being taken by players... that's a good sign.

Tells you either the players didn't respect him or didn't trust him. I'd say it was a combination of both.

But enough beating a dead horse. Go get 'em, Butch!

So I'm not trying to be negative here, but my first thought is if they didn't do what they had to under dooley, what makes us think they will trust and respect CBJ? It seems to me that they are buying in, but what if they become disheartened? are they going to just roll over and wet on themselves i.e. vandy?

I don't think that'll be the case. Think about it like this, if you have a boss that treated you poorly and was really bad at managing, how motivated would you be to do more than the bare minimum? On the other hand if you have a boss that treats you well and is a good manager, how motivated are you going to be to go that extra mile to make sure things get done the right way? I can honestly say from personal experience that a poor manager breeds poor employees and I think the same is true for coaches and players in any sport. What is going to be telling is how this coach handles adversity, because Dooley didn't seem to want to confront it and I think that's why his teams ultimately imploded.

I'm not sure anyone did. Fan or player.

Glad to have Butch.

Not to be negative,hun....but sounds like you are already to wet yourself. Bama can always use more fans.Maybe you can jump on there bandwagon. But even after that, youll say "what if we cant win 3 consecutive champs, what if they become disheartened?"

Anybody else at least a little concerned over the fact the only area he didn't seem totally positive on was our kicking game? Seems like that problem hasn't gone away. We were really spoiled with Hall, Colquitts, Leavenworth, Wilhoit, etc...
Leavenworth? I assume you're talking about Leaverton. In all seriousness, as many kickers as we have surely somebody can at least make an extra point.
