I'm not sure what's up with UT's fanbase, but this a solid hire. May not be first pick, but he is the best thing Tennessee has had in a while. The guy is a winner. Quit being stupid about this.

This fanbase would boo and hiss Bill Belichick. Oh wait, Belichick is from Tennessee huh? Belichickers?

CBJ just needs to be given a chance. The guy has won everywhere he has been, i don't see UT being any different.

It just looks to me like a guy that rode on Brian Kelly's coat tails at his last two jobs, I'm just not convinced he has the ability to turn this program around. Hopefully I'm wrong about that but only time will tell.

Sunshine Pumpers gotta pump. I can't believe people are ok with this. We have no choice but to wait and be proved right (that this is a bad hire) but come on...be realistic.

We may not win them all, but I believe Butch Jones will lead us to some victories this coming year we aren't favored in.

It is what it is...either ***** moan or cheer dont matter...Butch Jones is the Vols coach...personally I'm gonna get behind him til he proves to me he's over his head...
IMO i much prefer this hire to Charlie Strong..


And one more thing" He Wants To Be Here" personally that means a lot to me...

I think Dooley DESERVES another chance, he wasn't given ENOUGH time. Sunseri wasn't able to recruit his defence. Butchy will win multiple championships b/c he always has and will continue to do so in the SEC. Everybody just needs to be 50 years patient.

We all still have the right to disagree in America,,, for now at least. How about we just aren't big A^^holes about it. No need to denegrate our new coach that UT owes $18 mill to no matter if he fails or succeeds. There's nothing we can do about it yet. Let's not rain down personal attacks about how bad he sucks before he has even selected a staff or shown what style of offense/defense he will run. Let's see a recruiting class first. Even if I have doubts, I am rooting for my/our new coach to be successful and lead our beloved Vols back to the ass kicking Big Orange that can be hated again by the bammer/gator/cocks fans who we love to watch suffer. Hey, a fan can dream :)

Bad thing is if Butch Jones fails gets fired and has to leave he is still Butch Jones. People that get on here and denegrate and fail just change usernames and join the success. I think he will succeed but I won't change my username if he don't.

Solid hire, but if Jones is Hart's man then why not hire him last year? I thought this whole year extra year of Dooley hell was to give TN time to prepare for the homerun hire. :hi:

Tennessee got "The Guy". I truly believe this. Why people are hating on a proven winner is so beyond me?? Recruiting does not matter this year. Next year it will. If he can win then he will pull in recruits. UT is still a brand name, just without wins. Tennessee got a good guy today, even if they didn't mean to, and 99% of this board hates it. It's so ****ing dumb. Makes me sick. Crucify Dooleys, not guys who make their teams better.
