Sorry. But I am a fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers football team... not a single player. Not a coach.

I like Jones. I hope he succeeds. If he does... then you might want to get used to the idea that your devotion to him may not be returned. If he doesn't... then we owe him nothing but his paycheck. The program must ALWAYS be bigger than the coach or anyone else.

I agree, do not blindly hitch yourself to anyone. That goes for anything. Butch will bring in the right kids, step one. Next step is winning. I think he's on the right track but am not going to crown anyone yet. And with his dedication and great personality you can't help but root for the guy.

Hey guys i get a litte caught up with my enthusiasm some times. My on point is that after disappointment the last few years,we are so fortunate to have landed Butch Jones as our hc. We may not win another nc in my lifetime but i am confident we will be in the hunt soon. Maybe this year,with a few fortuitous bounces(Tony Barrnhart) we will upset a few. I am not an alum but am proud of my second cousin Ralph Nelson#60 who was a second team o lineman in the early 90's who got to run through the T. I have been to so many games through the years and have a hard time containing my entusiasm. A winner never quits and a quiter never wins(d era)...GOD BLESS and GO VOLS!!!

Butch is a "work horse." Meaning he is a blue collar worker with unmeasurable energy and tenacity, toughness is his first name and nastiness is his last. Nothing can out work or out do a true work horse. Butch is a thoroughbred. He is the standard for all coaches.

Make up your mind. Is he a workhorse or is he a thoroughbred? And is his name Butch or is it Toughness Nastiness.

This is just as bad as the people who said that they love Dooley. We should support him but if he can't win games over the next few years he should be treated accordingly.
