Butch Jones pretended to be committed to UC (Cincinnati.com)Kiffinish?

The Cincinnati AD wanted a decision on whether Jones was staying or going by 9am yesterday. He said he was staying and was committed to Cincinnati, and then left the next day.

But let's all rush to his defense because he's our coach now!

He decided to stay and the ad said soon after that Hart called.

Nothing like Kiffins departure. Kiff left in the middle of the night and there was a riot on campus. Sorry no riots in Cincinnati tonight. No mattresses are burning.

Thanks

This is funny. Kiffin's a douche because he did it to us.......right? Cincinnati doesn't count because they're, well Cincinnati.

Quite the opposite. According to Jones, his players at Cincinnati applauded when he informed them that he was taking the Tennessee posiiton. Of course, that can interpreted two ways: "Coach, we are happy for you to have this opportunity." Or "Thank God, we finally got rid of him." Considering the success they have enjoyed on their level under his leadership, I would be surprised if the player reaction signalled the latter sentiment.

lets See, Kiffin left mid-late January about 4 weeks until NSD. Butch left early Dec. Yes, we was mad that Kiffin left, but it was more on how he left. On a side note, yes I'm a little bit of a hypoctie :)

Wrong! Jones told his AD he was not taking the Colorado job. This was true. Then the Tennessee job came up, the AD gave him 24 hours to decide, he did and we have a new coach. A good one I believe.

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I always heard when Brian Kelly left UC for Notre Dame, he gathered the team right before their Football Awards banquet, told them he was going to Notre Dame, and peaced out. That was much more Kiffin-like.

Almost every coach will take a major step up if the opportunity presents itself.
It is how the system works.

I don't care about the kiffin thing anymore, hence, I don't care about Jones doing it the bearkittens.

Kiffin also left after only one year, and 2 weeks before signing day. Butch Jones gave Cincinnati three years and he's leaving in early Dec, about 2 months before signing day.

It's a fact this happens. I have done it in my line of work. Say your going to the doctor and you go interview for a better situation. Anyone that does not admit to doing it is foolish

It happens. I mean Petrino writes his Falcons team a letter.. Then bones out in the middle of the night..

Butch has always had integrity issues. no surprise.

Yep. And I hear he's not committed to the run either.

Sounded for the world like a fanbase that's that's REALLY bummed that they lost a winning coach.
