I did forget to add about the success this season in my latest post and to answer your question - I am aware. Thank you for clearing that up. I'm not trying to imply that I think Mike is a bad coach at all. I'm just stating he hasn't had as much success (other than this year) whether his past teams were one of the worst in the nation. I did say "Better than Joker, heh?". I'm sure UK wants a successful coach and i'm sure they will be pleased with Mike just because of the success of this season. Sorry for the confusion.

Macintyre has taken a 1-12 team and in three years turned them into a 10-2 team. I'd take him over quite a few names being tossed around.

Mike hasn't had much success at San Jose St. posting a 16-21 record as Head Coach. Better than Joker though, heh?

SJSU won 1 game the year before MacIntyre was hired and he took over a program with a bare cupboard. In three years, he built SJSU into a good program that does things right, has a record of 10-2 with one of the losses a 3 pt loss to Stanford.

He may not be a homerun hire but if UT had hired him instead of Dooley, the Big Orange would be in a lot better shape than they are today.

Mike is a principled man who has grown up around a very good football coach (his Dad) and he will be successful.

Per a source inside UK athletics, Butch Jones, Sonny Dykes and Mark Stoops have all said "no thanks" to Kentucky.
