20 years? It’s more than 98% of the population will make in a lifetime. If he’s fired at Ark State and gets $3.2M that’ll be $11M-$12M in buyouts between UT and ASU; that’s equivalent to a salary of $245K for 45 years.

The blurb about him certainly makes it sound like ArkSt should be much improved.
I haven't watched them play since 2021. They were not loaded with talent.
Says they have rising talent and the best rated recruiting classes in the Sunbelt conference the past two seasons.
Butch is capable of winning in the minor leagues.

I do feel like Butch will want badly to get back to a major program. He thinks he is a big time coach.
Remember, Saban said UT was getting rid of a good coach when he was fired; and that means something.

It's funny to watch Butch's pressers at Arkansas State. You can tell he hasn't learned or changed a damn thing. He's still exactly the same stubborn, clueless guy who thinks he's god's gift to coaching. "The system is infallible"

The record of 5-19 over the past two seasons speaks for itself, including 2-14 in the Sun Belt. Arkansas State has recruited well, and if Jones' third season doesn’t produce more wins, he will again be fired for not winning, just like he was at his last stop (Tennessee).

I know, I know, look forward not back. But it really does show he was never head coaching material.

BTW, Brent Venables is already on the list. I think that is a little premature, he has only been at Oklahoma for one year but, if OK does fire him I would love to have him as our DC.
