Butch says no grey uniforms for Florida, undecided if we'll wear them at all in 2014

This whole we're 0-2 in them is kinda like eating soup with a fork. It holds no substance. As stated above we have lost in all of our uniforms and if you only wear uniforms you win in how do you actually ever choose what you will ever wear as a team unless you win in the first uniform you wear? Ugh will this ever end. The game has changed a lot and now there are no huddles. Guess what we do that now. Teams now have an alternate uniform. We do that now too. It is all part of the process and if the kids like it so be it. Just beat the gators!

so you're telling me that orange does not stand out on a grey backing?

I'm saying that changing to the gray uniform resulted in everybody drooling over the gray, which means the focus was no longer on the Orange, but rather the gray, which goes against what is supposed to happen with the school colors.

Orange stands out on blue, but I don't want the Vols coming out in blue jerseys with orange numbers.

It was released in 2012 as an official rebranding of the entire school. That doesn't make it not official. I do like how we get to pick and choose which history we follow here.

Er ma gerd, we can only use the uniforms we've used in the past... Excluding the early 1900s, because those have gray and black in them.

Besides, whooooo cares? It is, officially, now a color of the school because of a mascot that we've had since 1953. History. They're not ****ting on tradition or anything by wearing a different color uniform. It still has orange, our primary color.

And as for the "we've lost games in those". UT has lost something like 362 games in its history. Were all of those while wearing non-traditional uniforms?

I was just pointing out it is a recent change.

Bet anything the Grays will be worn during VANDY as we give them a well deserved beatdown and put them back in their place.

Considering we will be road team......pants only? Vandy would have to ok or we would lose timeouts each half.

While we are on the topic...Bring back the black outline and remove the Tennessee script from the front of the away jerseys.

Your question lacks logic. Logically, we have won most of our games with orange jerseys and white pants. That is our traditional uniform. We are 1-2 in non-tradtional uniforms. Alternate uniforms are just gimmicks, nothing else. Gimmicks are what average programs have to do to get attention. Oregon is a great example. They had no identity until they gave their uniforms to Nike.

Bama, Texas, USC, Auburn, Michigan, and others are comfortable with who they are. They do not have to worry with gimmicks to win. I wish UT were as comfortable with their identity.

How about some uniforms that actually cover the player's knees? The way some of these guys wear their pants during games, I feel like I'm watching them practice in shorts and shoulder pads.

That big ole pad stopping acl injuries? What about high ankle sprains?

My point is who cares, players feel it slows them down.
