You know I had been feeling the same way, up until tonight. Also I would agree with you if we were playing a say top 35 ranked team. But we weren't. We were playing Vanderbilt, without their top 3 starting DBs. We created 4 turnovers and only managed 10 points on 53 passing yards.

Oh and we had 2 weeks to prepare. There is nothing else to be said.

Saban made sure he upset UT and made it to a bowl game to give his fans hope for better days.[sarcasm] Oh yeah totally similar comparison![/sarcasm]

I forgot Butch was responsible for coaching and recruiting at Tennessee the previous 4 seasons.

We lost to Vandy twice in a row...a good Vandy program that will be going to a bowl game again this year.

This isn't Dowhower's Vandy. It isn't Bobby Johnson's Vandy.

Right now it is Butch Jones's Tennessee. But he's had one damn year to fix things. Give him some time to clean up the manure left to him by multiple individuals over the years.

And then 3 weeks later lost to Louisiana Monroe. So you're right, there is no comparison here...because we at least lost to an SEC team.

With all due respect to the OP...please just STFU.

The degree of difficulty in engineering a turnaround in the Big East is infinitely lower than in the SEC.

There is nothing this staff has shown that they are capable of handling the stage of the SEC.

Dobbs has gotten progressively worse and he put up his worst game against his easiest opponent with two weeks to prepare.

The defensive staff still can't shut down the QB draw or the opponents best player. They let a mediocre QB channel his inner David Greene and march 90+ yards for the loss.

Special teams has gone off the cliff in the last month across the board.

If this team was talented enough to beat SC, it should have been able to handle the juggernaut of talent that is Vandy.

I think we already established that the OP (me) was wrong and he did that at Cincinatti.

The OP (me again) clearly meant he's turned things around before...

At least he's a championship winning coach which is better than what we had, better than what was really available to us when we hired him and better than what's available after this game tonight.
