It's truly just amazing the stark contrast between CBJ and the past two coaches here at UT. He just epitomizes everything Dooley and Kiffin were lacking.

And it's not the Marquez North catch, although that was undeniably incredible.

It's this screengrab I tried to get of Butch Jones right at the end of the game when the kick was ruled good and people were starting to run on the field.

All around him, chaos. People are jubilant. But Jones is still there, taking a knee, the slightest smile starting to show up, as though the weight of what this moment means for the fans and, more importantly, for the team actually begins to bear down.

It's still going to take a bit, but I am firmly convinced that we got a glimpse of the future last night. More, and better, moments like these are coming.

That was also my favorite picture from that game. He looked like he was about to cry. This guy really cares about these players and this program.

Awesome picture. Reminds me of a proud papa watching your kid doing something they truly enjoy.

It's so great to see that the person who's in charge of this program truly cares and wants to be here....

And I have to say, I just love that our coach's first signature win, the victory that got people going, "Wait, what's going on in Knoxville?" was against our greatest adversary, the Dark Lord of the Visor himself.

Don't y'all just get the feeling that Butch is here for all the right reasons and appreciates the opportunity he has been given. Not just that, as our beloved fan base embraces him and his journey with us, he becomes more and more embedded into our history.

He just seems to fit like a glove and I don't see another school being able to steal him away in the future with money.

We are so lucky and I have to eat some crow as to my resentment towards Dave Hart during the coaching search. He saw something genuine that many of us did not.

This is EXACTLY the kind of coach we needed.

^^^Good stuff :good!:

Hmmm.....General Jones has a nice ring to it.

I know that you did not mean anything but positive vibes with this, but the General spent years earning that title off the gridiron. The General spent years in the heat of real battle and performing tasks far exceeding his accomplishments as a coach.

Not trying to be PC here, just trying to preserve honor to one that deserves it.

the hard times are long from over, but Jones has proven himself in every aspect of coaching so far. i hope that his tenure at UT, leaves him with a legacy that future coaches are measured against.
