Buzz Williams comments on the committee regarding A&M

Why would a streak matter if the committee states the important thing is “to judge the entire season”? Their entire resume is better than several at large teams.

It shouldn’t if you take what the committee says as fact but the committee says one thing, does another. An 8 game losing streak completely takes you out of any top 5-6 teams in your league in mid season and that appears to be the criteria the committee uses, unless you’re in Big Ten every year or ACC most years. Rarely, very very rarely, will SEC get more than 6 teams in the tourney in the current format of 14 teams.

I agree with Buzz.

That being said, curious what the NIT organizers feel like about TAM being in their tourney and openly stating they wanted to be in the other one.

Tough being the little brother now.

Here's another reason the NIT is pretty much bush league. Dayton was given the overall #1 seed of the NIT tournament, which should mean they host every game they play until the semi-finals in NY. But tomorrow they play at Vanderbilt.

Now maybe there was a scheduling conflict at Dayton's arena or something but it's silly they aren't hosting the game at their place or somewhere closer to them instead of having to travel if they are in fact the overall #1 seed. Otherwise what's the point of the seeding.
