Bye Bye Louisville

UPDATE: A grand jury has indicted one officer on criminal charges six months after Breonna Taylor was fatally shot by police in Kentucky. The jury presented its decision against fired officer Brett Hankison Wednesday to a judge in Louisville, where the shooting took place. Taylor was shot multiple times by officers who burst into her home on March 13 during a narcotics investigation. No drugs were found in her home. Protesters across the country have demanded justice for Taylor and other Black people killed by police in recent months.

So, they are concerned about the color of the skin. Racist people then.

You mean the part of town where the drug dealers are? That is shocking!
Yep, must knock so the bad guys have time to get their guns ready for you-- you know, police would like to be alive at the end of shift also. They also have families they would like to go home to. I agree that there needs to be a better balance, but geezzz don't go so far left that you cannot find anyone with an IQ above a rock to be a policeman.

Crisis at Louisville Police: Department struggles to recruit as Murders Rise by 75 per cent and Shootings Rocket 84 per cent in wake of Breonna Taylor's killing

More than 230 cops have either retired or resigned from the Louisville Metro Police Department in the last 16 months as a spokesperson for its union says that staffing shortages have left the agency in ‘dire straits’ while violent crime rises.

According to statistics provided by the LMPD on Tuesday, the department has seen about 190 officers leave last year and 43 depart so far this year.
