All I can say is wow. What a heartwarming story.

My prayers go out to her family.

To Mr. Moore.... You are a fine young man. I'm proud to be able to call you a VOL. Be a leader for our team and try to get us as many W's as you can this year, but, remember one thing. When it is all said and done, the W's and L's really don't mean a thing. It is who you are as a person that counts.

We as fans use the term they "get it" way to often in places that really don't matter in the big scheme of life. I am glad to finally say it in a manner that is truely meaningful.

You Sir...."Get It". :hi:

The very reason PRIDE is returning to The Hill.

Byron, you have already done more with your life than most of us will. Thank you so much for your account of this great friendship. Thank you for loving this little angel and praying with her. I just want you know that your account will be passed on to someone who needs it very much. Thanks for blessing my day.

I cried.

I am so proud Byron Moore has such a wonderful perspective and outlook on life.

I glad he's a Vol, but even gladder that he may be a role model to other young men on the football team, at the University and in the community

After nearly 6 decades on this earth I still lose it when I hear or read stories like this.

Unlike some I have believed that Byron could really help us on D if he had the opportunity to play in the right system and receive quality coaching. Thankfully, he will now get that in his senior season. He understands that giving his best at all he does is what a VFL does. We Volunteer for service to help others. Whether that's as a teammate or as a private citizen, no matter where it may be.

Just know that I will be praying hard for you to achieve your dreams, Byron. You have inspired this old man to do more.

Stories like Miss Norman's are always tearjerkers, no matter who writes it. But I want to commend Mr. Byron Moore on an excellent job of penning it. To all of the other things Byron is good at, I think we can add writing.

I'll be wearing a #3 jersey to the games this year.

The fact that Moore so willingly received the blessing offered to him from knowing and interacting with such an amazing young woman says volumes about him. A true act of service isn't in the doing, but in the receiving as you perform the service.

God bless this precious child's family and everyone who knew her and has received her story. It broke, and strengthened, my heart all at the same time.

Being a Medic I see young patients from time to time. Cancer is a nasty, and disgusting disease. I have lost family members to this disease, like many of you who post here. This young girl, Kate is an absolute Hero in every sense of the word. I see these young children and it tears my heart wide open, but at the same time I see courage, determination, and most of all love. True love and kindness, not the look of defeat or pity or even envy. And every time I get to speak to one of these children, they put a smile on my face.
Truly they are amazing in everything they do. It is my believe that they are angels sent from above. My heart goes out to the Norman's and know that Kate is walking in heaven.
