Maybe this will be good for us. If one thing is for certain, Bruce can coach up the kids. I think during all the hype surround basketball recruiting we lost focus on actually playing basketball. We did pretty well when we were overlooked and underrated. Leadership and teamwork helped those first Pearl teams win alot of games, not blue chip talent. I'd rather have a guy who is not highly rated coming out of high school and who wants to work hard than someone who thinks he'll be the next MJ and leave after a year. Those guys might help you win some games, but they won't help your program in the long run.

I will sell you the secret to being a hoops insider like Hatvol for 20 bucks...

Nevermind I will just give it to you. Read Zagsblog and then recap it on Volquest. Periodically call AAU coaches in the Northeast, laugh about how much you both hate Bruce Pearl (who you are intensely jealous of) and then ask about recruiting. Make wild guesses that are often wrong. Rinse and repeat.

seems to me he has better teams w/ less talent. why's that? because egos aren't inflated and the less talented guys wrk harder

You are joking aren't you? What rock have you been hiding under? Just read back for the past three months or so. I like Hat's Blogs. His forum posts reek of jealousy. Very childish in my opinion. If he has a REAL problem with Pearl then fine. Why doesn't he just come out and say what it is? If not on the public forum, at least in a PM. I have asked for it, but only receive childish responses. I've seen him state the reasons why he doesn't like Pearl multiple times on this forum.

I can take a joke. I can play along, but what is the point of bashing our coach over and over if we really are fans - unless it is jealousy or racism or something like that?
