'19 CA ATH/WR Horace "Bru" McCoy (Tennessee commit)

I was thinking about you earlier when I popped on. I was in that same storm system as you guys last month. Tornado was 3 miles away from the restaurant I’m training at in Texas. You guys good?

Dang! Hope you stayed safe. We’re good, though the ground is so soaked a massive red oak in the front yard just tipped over earlier this week. It’s a mess, but everyone is safe. Glad to see you around!

It was crazy. Everyone here was calm as can be. We didn’t even close. I was locking myself in the 4 ton walk in lol

There is a YouTuber who covers SC and Clemson and he alluded to Luke Doty really impressing Beamer. He said it wouldn’t shock him if Doty becomes the starter.
In their spring game Rattler was 8-10 for 79 yds, 0 TD and 4 sacks. Doty was 7-10 for 85 yds, 1 TD and 1 sack. Neither threw an interception.

Brian Kelly is a very good coach. He’s had success everywhere he’s been (despite being a weirdo with recruits)
I have a theory. My theory is that there is a point at which a coach becomes paid more than they could ever be worth. They have such a huge safety net at that point that at any point, if things don't go the right way, they begin to slack. Results go down in the teams they coach, they don't reach the huge expectations put upon them, and they take their buyout and fade away, set for life financially.

I think under his new (ridiculous) contract at LSU, Brian Kelly is now in this situation.

I also think that (by paying them more than they were worth) this is what happened with Butch/Dooley/Cornbread.

2-4 against the sec
4-11 against the top 10
23-23 against the top 25
Not exactly setting the world on fire while at Notre Dame.
In his defense, it is hard as hell to get into Notre Dame, so that shrinks his talent pool. I am guessing the bar is a lot lower at LSU. He may do well, but he may just be another Les Miles.

My vote is he is a les miles clone without the grass chewing but adding the dancing creeper vibe.

I have a buddy that lives in Pheonix. I asked him about Rattler when he was coming out of high school. Kid supposedly has a me first attitude that didn't sit well with a lot of people. I always take things like that with a grain of salt, but his coach at Oklahoma didn't take him to USC either.
