Top247 Rank: No. 7

The Skinny: The No. 1 prospect at his position already has over 20 offers including Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Michigan, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Tennessee and USC. He got a chance to visit Knoxville, Tallahassee, Tuscaloosa, Columbia, East Carolina, Chapel Hill and Clemson during the summer. “We’re going to go to some Georgia games and Georgia Tech games, that’s a given,” his father told 247Sports. “Other than that we’re going to play it by ear. New Mexico and East Carolina have just as much a chance as Georgia and Michigan. I don’t look at USC higher than I look at UCF. I look at a set of criteria, educational accolades, amenities, endowments, things based on his major, athletic accomplishments for the team. He has endeavors to play pro ball of course so I look at some of the things they’re able to do there. I look at the staffs in term of who they are and what some of their accomplishments are. Those things are important. New Mexico is where I grew up. His nana and papa are a half a mile from UNM. East Carolina is where his pops grew up. Another wards he has ties to those places and something to take into consideration. But at the same time you also have North Carolina. I’m Church of God and Christ preacher. The presiding bishop is in Michigan, Detroit. There are several Church of God and Christ in Michigan. That is something to take into consideration. He lives in Georgia, that is something to take into consideration. There are several different criteria we are taking into consideration.”

So his family became homeless and the next logical step was to move across the country to a school that just happens to be a top ranked high school football team this year? If it's a public school, good for California for not allowing it. All private schools need to get their own divisions. Some states are worst than others, but I know in OH, a public school never wins the State championship in the highest division.

Did you read the thing? Sounds like his family was sold a bag of sh*t. The guy convinced them on getting him NIL money while in HS. And in Cali you can get paid in HS. In Ga, you cannot.

It's a bad situation for the kid, but they are clearly trying to use a loophole to get him eligible that he doesn't qualify for. I don't blame the kid who isn't old enough to make the decision, but if they don't enforce the rules it will continue to be abused. I think this is a situation where they were clearly trying to break the rules from reading this article.

Tennessee has them split between public and private. Although the school that has won the highest division the most has been know to recruit kids from out of their territory all the time.

We got a shot here?
coming to visit from CA....i mean, you'd think so? haven't seen/heard any chatter at all about him though. it would be a lot cooler had he come up for any of the bigger games. coming for a nooner against mizzou.....eh. who knows.

one positive maybe....probably not a HUGE weekend for recruiting, so maybe he gets good one on one time with the coaches?
