'19 CA LB Henry To'oto'o (Tennessee Signee)

This staff should have learned a lesson here. Tennessee is still a national brand name and should cast the nets from coast to coast. Majors and Fulmer made a living with that philosophy. I know that it is easier to stay in the southeast, but there are players throughout the country that envision playing in the SEC.
Many on here were preaching a different kind of LESSON for the staff. “Slow playing” in-state recruits in pursuit of higher end targets and “losing out”. They don’t net Toto? Russell would be the incessant cautionary tale throughout the offseason. Glad we missed out on that.

Went back to Tuesday, and read all the way thru to the end. First off, how awesome it was; most of the posts, and all of the gifs...kudos guys and gals, so many of you had me dying laughing, and pumped out of my mind. To go back and see it all unfold over two days was so great. Second...

@Russdaddy2027 @dmwhite1 @JimboVol @KTownVFL @Warrior5 @buffaloblue and @VOLuptuousBOOMS ...mad respect to each of you...hats off. You guys or gals were hitting the nail on the head; and some of you were taking the usual bs from the usual suspects. Nice work, brothers or sisters.

Speaking of usual suspects...

@Volfan76 @JohnD13 @head1 @GetEmVols @CrystalVol247 @Volzfan38024 and, of course, that ole sage @codyg10 ...take a lap, and then take another; then punch and kick EACH OTHER in the nuts, since you guys or gals love talking about it so much.

Great day to be a Vol; and, again, for those of you who haven't, yet...you better recognize.

That's a Missouri Class Battleship. I think the Missouri and New Jersey were the only active ships during WW2. The Iowa and Wisconsin weren't finished till after the war. It's one of the 4 but I would guess Missouri.
All four Iowa class ships served in WW2 combat. There were 2 other Iowas started, but cancelled/scrapped after the war. Big Mo gets all the pub, thanks to the tie to H S Truman and the surrender ceremony. All four of these guys could rain down a boatload of bad news on the enemy.

The ship number in the photo is too small for me to read. AllVolinGA...which ship is it??? Which battle? Iwo? Saipan? Tinian? Don't leave us hanging!

How do they need to learn a lesson? They were the ones who landed the Cali kid. And went after 2 last class.

Nope, but good guess. That is the Tennessee, repaired and Booming away after Pearl Harbor.

This is a quality call-out post iyam.

Iowa class battleship. Iowa, Missouri, New Jersey and Wisconsin were finished before the end of WW2. The tour is amazing too.

I think it was the Kentucky and another one that I can’t remember, that we’re unfinished before the end of WW2

Would definitely recommend seeking out the interview with Henry's coach at DLS HS. If you podcast, it is on the WNML feed, look for Justin Alumbaugh. Really can't say enough good things about the kid. Makes you feel great about what we are getting.

BTW, love the Mark Henry theme song.

That song was DJ Paul, Project Pat, and Lord Infamous of Triple Six Mafia. Memphis group

This is a bigger get than we realize. The one thing that can be said about this kid, and his Polynesian background, is "we don't F*** around".....,he will be the leader on and off the field, he will not have grade issues, he will not have attitude issues, he will not be a cancer, he will be the player holding other players accountable.

It can not be over stated enough how much a kid with this "attitude" brings into the program. Massive signing with more positive traits than just a great football player.

Maybe he will be able to bring some polynesian friends to knoxville. It sounds like as long as Kevin Sirmon has a job that the HS coach out there will have his kids take a look at UT. Didnt know Neids had family connections that played bball there.

And he'll "lead" by his play on the field.
This dude is a starter beside Bituli next year imo.
I equated him to another Johnathan Vilma. Down hill relentless and physical player that is very cerebral to go along with immense physical talent. Kirkland will be a great mentor for him.

I think Kirkland will be that player-coach that mostly effects the game as a teammate on the sideline and practice field.

I liked how Henry was very respectful towards his future teammates in his interview, but also let it be known that he thinks he can take care of business and be the man NEXT year. I agree...

Unbelievable pickup!

This brought up my curosity. Checked out 2020 top prospects in CA at De La Salle.

Doesn't look like anyone elite in 2020 from DLS but maybe in the surronding area that we could target.

One thing is for sure: between Bituli, DKjr, To’oto’to, JJP and Ignont, we will finally have elite talent there fighting tooth and nail for playing time. OLB looks a lot better now with Crouch, Taylor, D Johnson, Harrison and Allen. These boys better be ready to work if they want PT

Some GOLD from the gumps. This isn't all of them, just some I found funny.

Losing Tosh is why people thought we wouldn't get him and that was overrated.

Got a Crystal Ball today from the Utah 247 guy, and 247 has him predicted Bama after predicting UT all last week! Not that it matters!

I looked at everything, and my Crystal Ball goes to Alabama! I have been 100% on those this year!

I think Henry T rolls with Bama.......I feel pretty good about the connection with Tua and the others

west coast sources are saying different..... it may be a troll job or he really could be going to UT

Huffman hearing HT to Tenn. that would be a huge blow if true. I can see Washington, but if you are leaving the west coast for the vols???

for real....it's a definitely an 11th hour development. we were out in front of UT even after his OV to them.

all we heard was Washington is a very close 2nd. Tenn seemed to fade away the last week unless Pruitt really sold him on early playing time . the latest from Huffman was his whole family prefers Alabama to boot!!!

UT is crap. Hope that is a smoke screen.

Like most, I could see UW. I can`t fathom UT, at least for him. If he goes to UT, especially if his family favors us, I`d love to have the concession to bottle and sell what JP`s feeding him.

Agreed, if we lose him it will be to the West Coast not Rocky Slop.

Drew DeArmond just tweeted he's not feeling good about HT. Either this is going to be another last might smoke screen like a few guys in December, or something happened in the last 24 hours.

I'm thinking its smoke since UT has been brought up so prominently today.

Tennessee is crap. He must not be very smart.

It seems we just don't pull the drama Queens very well, I'm kind of glad for that I guess.

the real travesty with this news will be Tennessee fans trying to pronounce his name for the next 3-4 years!

It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. I’m still of the belief that Henry and Quavo are our future ILBs at Mike and Will.

Harrison should be a permanent fixture, but we need to get some impact guys at the EDGE position in the 20 class. We have Davis onboard but will need 2-3 more. Not sold on Allen as I believe he would have gotten on the field more last year after Kongbos injury.
