'19 CA LB Henry To'oto'o (Tennessee Signee)

I was 14 and loving life. I assumed it was just how it was growing up with late 90s Vols football.

Never could have imagined what the last 15 years would do to the program.

Henry T is a legit five star and rivals once again shows there incompetence/nega UT by having him ranked at 83. Rivals used to be the very first website I would check out, but now I just go there to see how much lower they have our commitments ranked compared to the other sites.

The scouting report from 24/7 is easy to get excited about.

I was 30 and had lived through the dark ages of the lates 70s and the long slow but steady rise back to the top through the 80s and 90s. I honestly thought Phil would have us back there several times, but alas it was not to be.

I think we had the talent to get back several times.

I love Phil and I hate (a) how it ended for him and (b) what we’ve dealt with after him. But let’s just say I think he’ll go down as a better AD than coach. Just seemed to under perform sometimes as coach. We really should’ve won two plus with the talent back then.

I think he was really good just not complete like the elite. There were several like that during that time it seemed. Many grabbed titles and you were sure more would follow. But it just didn't happen.
I'm still amazed Spurrier came away with only 1.
Just look at the parity (and excitement) before Bama screwed everything up.

my buddy and i almost drove from Jc to Knox after we beat Fla. even got in the car and headed that way. reason got best of us and ended up at Cahootanannies in JC.

Then i read they carried the goalposts down Cumberland.

Jaycee, it gets better. Ark/TN. prior to stumble and fumble, roomate and I left after last Ark TD.

(rewind; My Dad, a lifelong UT Season Ticket holder taught us to leave midway 4th to beat traffic - you may judge).

Back then, we could park for free at Episcopal church by WFP.

I recall hearing fireworks boom, crowd cheering, and Bobby's voice booming...TD Travis Henry!!! We high fived every cop back to car.

Wasnt in stadium but it was still awesome.

I was a junior in high school remember it just like it was yesterday. That next day after school I went to the local embroidery shop and got my national championship license plate for the front of my Nissan Hardbody truck. simple and fun times

Freshman in HS. As I tell all the young teens with their Bama crap, “You didn’t see all the Bama junk running around school then. It ain’t always been about them.”
