It’s crazy how all our guys look like safeties the last few years.
Better regiments, better nutrition, better programming in the modern football era and our guys looked like that 15+ years ago and we have continually regressed. Smh

Love Chief. We had some ferocious Defenses and it was mainly attributed to CHIEF and Coach Brooks. Did he make some mistakes, sure, but for the most part those TOP 10 Defenses UT had were attributed to Chavis.

People act like other D Coordinators don’t make mistakes and make bad calls from time to time.

Say what you want but the man still gets paid today because of his Defenses while at UT, and the development of NFL players under his tenure here.

They kind of where Safties lol. JRM, McDowell were Safties in recruiting.

Chief has some very good defenses and he had some very good defensive players. The only thing I dreaded back then was 3rd and long.

KSi was a physical freak. Burnett was 6'+. Burnett was a big guy but Simon was once in a decade freak.

To'oto'o told me tonight that he and Simon have been talking alot lately. They have developed a good relationship and To'oto'o is still playing on visiting this Vols sometime this summer. He and his parents are mapping out their visit plans. ”
