'25 CA QB Madden Iamaleava (Arkansas commit)

My first UT game, I was only 5 years old. I do remember the fight at the end, and UCLA had a stud RB named Mel Farr that gave us fits. I think Gary Beban was their QB.

Beban was, Swamp Rat was our QB. Farr had a stellar day. I was a UCLA fan because of the UCLA basketball (Wooden era). Then I grew up.

I don’t. They just don’t care about college football in LA. Hell, USC went from 1939 to 2003 without a sellout, if memory serves. And they were great during that time.

For all the youngsters, UCLA Had already clinched the Rose Bowl bid and Vols had accepted the Bluebonnet Bowl invite, so game was dubbed the Rosebonnet Bowl. There was no set bowl selection date at that time and most matchups were determined before the end of the season

Nope. California is not a college football area. They follow NFL more. Most there could care less if Michigan comes to down.
