Has anyone considered the possibility that Heupel is delaying the public announcement as not to detract from the basketball team's attention right now?
The notion that a football commitment would distract from a basketball team’s postseason tournament run tells you all you need to know about the disparity in importance between those two sports.
Maybe disparity in importance to some, but for me I’d take a Final Four run over a 5-Star QB 10 times out of 10 if I had to choose. I want this team to get this so badly.
Actually, Nico wasnt sure about his decision, and then he saw that Callahan and Wiltfong raised their confidence in him going to Tennessee, and figured that since they are never wrong, he might as well be a Vol.

That's true but we didn't have 8 million dollars on our side in the past either. Nico = Vol. Does that mean guaranteed success? No, but it's decidedly a step in the right direction. One thing I have learned being a Vol fan for several decades... the game is never over until it is officially over. (And when Dooley was coaching, sometimes a play or two beyond that.)
I hope you are right, but our history says we are fully capable of screwing this up. Hopefully Heupel is the man to exorcise those demons. That's true but we didn't have 8 million dollars on our side in the past either. Nico = Vol. Does that mean guaranteed success?
