‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

Has anyone considered the possibility that Heupel is delaying the public announcement as not to detract from the basketball team's attention right now?

The notion that a football commitment would distract from a basketball team’s postseason tournament run tells you all you need to know about the disparity in importance between those two sports. 😂🤣

Maybe disparity in importance to some, but for me I’d take a Final Four run over a 5-Star QB 10 times out of 10 if I had to choose. I want this team to get this so badly.

Oh I’m here in Indianapolis for the game. I’m a Vol fan in every sport. But America prefers football to all other sports (so do I). Just saying, the notion is telling. So is the money generated.

I’m looking forward to a year in which the football team makes the CFP, baseball makes it to Omaha, and both basketball teams make the Final 4. It’s gonna happen.

Actually, Nico wasnt sure about his decision, and then he saw that Callahan and Wiltfong raised their confidence in him going to Tennessee, and figured that since they are never wrong, he might as well be a Vol.

I know your joking but if Callahan puts in a crystal ball then it’s over. He doesn’t put in crystal ball unless the kid has basically silently committed. He seems like the guy that makes you sit on plastic cover on his couch. Takes zero chances lol

Not me. Getting a great 5* QB can change the future of UT football with additional 4/5*'s to follow. The NCAA tourney will be history in a couple of weeks, and unless they win the title, nobody will remember who was in the final 4 in 6 months, unless they win the title game. I hope UT gets to the final 4, but if I had to chose, I'll take the QB thanks.;)

Nico knows we prioritized him over Arch, they didn't. That plus 8 million dollars = game over.
One thing I have learned being a Vol fan for several decades... the game is never over until it is officially over. (And when Dooley was coaching, sometimes a play or two beyond that.)

That's true but we didn't have 8 million dollars on our side in the past either. Nico = Vol. Does that mean guaranteed success? No, but it's decidedly a step in the right direction.

I hope you are right, but our history says we are fully capable of screwing this up. Hopefully Heupel is the man to exorcise those demons.
