Contracts don't have anything to do with judges? Even if there is an arbitration clause for a dispute, the arbiters are invariably lawyers and aren't going to fall for some of the cartoon-ish tricks some here have described. There is no legal difference between "Statue of Liberty" and "any 300 foot statue on an isle in New York Harbor". Contracts are read for intent, and anyone with half a brain is going to realize that a clause requiring a kid to be at Calhoun's at 2 p.m. every day is a laughable bad faith attempt to serve to a prohibited purpose (requiring him to attend a particular school). We're getting Nico, but if he ever walks away, he walks away from the money remaining on the contract, nothing more. Let's be sure he falls in love and stays in love with Rocky Top for insurance.

They can see through it and laugh all they want, but there is nothing that could be done. If I agree to be available to show up as an entertainer dressed as a superhero for a kids birthday party, but can't make it, the parents don't have to pay me. If they decide to litigate, then all owed money is locked up, potentially for years and the payee would likely never see it or lose a tremendous amount more through litigation and other loss of earnings.

I love that he said he's 100% committed and looking forward to recruiting others to come here. Having lived through the Decade of Dominance, and then to have to experienced the fall, I sit here cleaning off my orange shaded glasses, which had fallen to disrepair, repeatedly being tossed about the place from one disappointment to the next. I was planning on repainting them or replacing them, but I think I'll just wear them with the battle scars hoping they survive for one more Decade of Dominance. Is it for certain? No, but it looks closer to that than anything we've had since, and that has me wanting to wear these shades again. Go Vols!!!
