How much talent can you realistically keep at that position when you have a freshman win the starting job, which is most likely what will happen next season.

I could see a scenario where Navy Shuler goes into 2023 as the backup QB. Not ideal, but realistic.

There’s no way to know with all the variables that are at play in the game today

Or Jackson wins the job and Nico redshirts. In which case, great. But I doubt it happens that way.

I would understand him transferring. I just very selfishly hope he understands one cheap shot could put him in the driver's seat and he just wants to be at UT above all else.

That’s interesting that they pivoted that quickly. I wonder if the early feedback from kids like Evans and Gibbs played a part.

I’m basing that on just comparing now with July 2021. We’ve come a long way since then it seems, but I know Evans and Gibbs were like 4 months ago.
