So the contract apparently is that he can earn “up to 8 million.” It is not a guaranteed 8 million. So if he comes here and is a back up, he isn’t getting that. His market value plays into it somehow. Don’t ask me to explain it

I'm not behind the scenes, but after it was clear that Pruitt was going down hard and would be fired, a decision was made by someone. I don't know who the powers were that made it, maybe it was some collaboration involving Plowman, Randy Boyd, various boosters... but someone put their foot down and said, enough of Tennessee AD looking like a clown car.

Whomever made that decision and the decision to go get Danny White, that's who we should be praising right now. None of this happens without that.

Agree & you mentioned him, but I think Randy Boyd also key in this whole movement - not just him, but I think he gets what sports mean to UTK and to this community, and I think he's excellent at unifying the boosters. I think Plowman gets that rising tide carries all academic boats as well. Danny White was a home run hire.
