‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

He will if Oregon offers 10 mil
They can't offer anything he has signed an NIL agreement with Spyre. Meaning they pay him to work with their clients. Sure he could decommit but 350k would be all he earned. If you actually watched his commitment video, its the best I have ever seen. He was sincere in making it about those that have helped him get to the level he is. FAMILY. He chose Tennessee because of those connections and feelings of Family.

“They had everything I was looking for,” Iamaleava told 247Sports. “I met some incredible people, not just with the football program but everyone we met was so welcoming to us and made me feel like home.”

In what has to be considered one of their biggest recruiting wins in the modern recruiting era, the Vols land a player with a shot to end the 2023 recruiting cycle as the No. 1 overall prospect.

The is our biggest get since The Ice Man

Tennessee lands No. 4 QB prospect in 2023 class

"The family vibe, the atmosphere, the culture. Having (Iamaleava's) mom on the visit to Tennessee really solidified that she was able to experience that," Iamaleava's father, Nicholaus, said. "The Tennessee visit was real hands on, the (coaches') wives came out and gave us good insight to the program. We know we're going to be able to leave him there and they're going to be able to care for him."

Being so highly ranked, Iamaleava had offers from nearly every major program in the country, and he listed his final five schools as Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Tennessee and Oregon. He is the second ESPN Jr. 300 commit in the 2023 class, along with tight end Ethan Davis, and he is the first quarterback ranked in the top 300 for Heupel and offensive coordinator Alex Golesh.

The staff added four-star Tayven Jackson in the 2022 class, but saw Harrison Bailey and Brian Maurer transfer out. The staff has 2021 starter Hendon Hooker returning in 2022, as well as backup Joe Milton. Hooker threw for 2,945 yards, 31 touchdowns and 3 interceptions last season and solidified himself as the starter after transferring from Virginia Tech and starting the season as Milton's backup.

Hooker's success, and the past success Heupel has seen at previous stops, played a big factor in Iamaleava's decision to pick Tennessee.

"This decision, because of what they've done with all the quarterbacks they had before them, just coming in seeing the numbers that Hooker had as opposed to the previous years," Nicholaus Iamaleava said. "They have a breakdown of every quarterback that starts when he first came in and how they looked at season end. So the development part that they showcase, along with all their quarterbacks, that played a huge part because we know he's going to be developed."

It's only year 2 and Heup has the recruiting machine HUMMING yall. I haven't been this excited about our future in many many years. Look how far we've come froim this time last year. Oh Dear Lord I'm happy WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm pretty sure he doesn't specialize in contract law. . .
I'm simply taking the word of the journalist who broke this story, and has seen the contract, Stewart Mandel, as to what is in it, over you chaps who have not. It's not any more complicated than that. You guys can keep doing your Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber routine as long as you like. We got Nico, and 8 million reasons we can keep him but we're going to keep him because of the money, not because he has to be at Calhoun's every day at 2 p.m. or any other bullshid cartoon villain scheme you've seen before on Darkwing Duck.

Oregon mods were talking about blowing him away with a $100k deal. 😅

Early on, the Oregon Ducks looked to be the team to beat but a pair of unofficial visits to the Knoxville campus including a recent one he took earlier this month put the Vols over the top.

“I really like the city of Knoxville, that southern hospitality is just different out there and having my mom out there with me and seeing how much she loved it meant a lot,” Iamaleavea told 247Sports “The fan support is incredible and I just love how passionate football is out there.”

Oregon can suck it lol. Momma LOVES Knoxville

Just wait……. 💥
I remember from the past when Metal talks things tend to happen. Do tell MV! Man this is so exciting. My kids have only known the pitiful TN and still love the Vols because they were raised right. I can not contain my optimism and it feels so good. Be back in a min....

Lol. Lane Kiffin just retweeted The Athletic $8 Million NIL deal article. Someone is salty. He knows Ole Miss will never pay $$$ like that and he wishes he was here.

Lane is running Heupel's offense. Of course, he wants the same QB. However, Lane's got no one to blame but himself for where he's at. He ought to be blaming OM's alums for not being able to sway Arch his direction.

"I'm 100% locked and looking forward to help recruit and build this class," Iamaleava said. "That's a big reason why I committed so early, I want to start recruiting for my class and help Tennessee bring in one of the top classes in the country."

I love tnhis kid. He's just become our best recruiter.

Sorry if already reported. Does this mean he is shutting down his recruitment and will not be visiting Georgia, Oregon, Bama, etc in the future?
