He does but he is a far greater athlete and much more elusive at escaping the rush at the same stage in their careers. If they can get Nico up to around 220lbs he will be hard to handle. The scariest part about Nico is that he has the highest ceiling of any QB in this class.I think Nico has a similar long stride running style as Lawrence did.
I don't think anyone said Nico is the only factor other recruits are considering. And I don't think every recruit has the same decision criteria. There are dozens of models of cars out there and cost, style, color, acceleration, towing capacity, reliability... all are factors when we choose a vehicle. Players choosing a school have a wide range of priorities and preferences. It is rarely one thing and trying to make it about one thing just shows a lack of understanding about how decisions are made.I understand that I agree with that from the beginning. It’s the VN members who are lazily missing the original intent of my post.
Also if the subsequent information is true regarding Kasper then the NIL likely is factor #1 over Nico when a high rated recruit decides to commit to us or not.

Maybe NIL drove Kasper's decision and maybe not. But it is just foolish to extrapolate that belief to every player in the nation.
You literally wrote that you doubt "the Nico factor" (defined as "having pull with other commits") as "still TBD".I never argued or made posts against that.
This. The Nico factor is still TBD.
My post was right after the Kasper announcement. It was always TBD in actually getting recruits to commit, not just interested in UT. I never argued that point. You may disagree and that is Ok. Only children will continue continue to be upset with my post after several weeks. . Be an adult now and let it go.
BTW, It is still TBD how many top commitments we get here because of Nico. NIL deals will likely play a bigger role with the top tier recruits.
But you keep replying after several weeks’. You’re not, nor have you changed minds here. Check back during signing period and see if you can still change opinions. There’s always a hill to die on in the here and now. TBD.My post was right after the Kasper announcement. It was always TBD in actually getting recruits to commit, not just interested in UT. When Nico committed.. Nobody, including you, was talking about "Nico is going to get a bunch of players to visit Tennessee and put us in their top 5's".You literally wrote that you doubt "the Nico factor" (defined as "having pull with other commits") as "still TBD".
Well, I hate to tell you... getting a bunch of 4 and 5 stars to visit and have us in their top 5s (that otherwise wouldn't), is pull. Articles about Nico's pull to get other top recruits interested in UT is literally publishing the reality of "The Nico Effect".
If you need to redefine that "effect" to save face because you depress-posted after Kasper's choice, and for some reason want to spent a couple of weeks repeatedly dying on that hill, you're just looking pretty ignorant, and like a complete recruiting noob.
There are no guarantees in recruiting. "The Nico Effect" was never to be considered as a warranty or guarantee. It was always this: "He is a blue-chip QB that's recruiting for us, and that will have a wonderful effect on our class". It gets us in on targets we otherwise wouldn't have been. And that is all you can ask in the recruiting game--especially where UT has been for quite some time.
Now. The wise thing would be to stop dying on this hill and to start replying: "Those are good points, and maybe I overreacted to the Kasper disappointment."
But AFTER Nico committed, many including myself started buying into said effect. Specially when top recruits started booking visits and previous non-possibles like the IMG OL became possible. It’s how you get there not when. So it makes hellsense to me…and that’s my core audience. When Nico committed.. Nobody, including you, was talking about "Nico is going to get a bunch of players to visit Tennessee and put us in their top 5's".
Never has that been what anyone meant by the Nico effect. That is pure silliness.
You know that too. Which is why you contradicted yourself in the same post. "will have a wonderful effect on this class". What does that mean, exactly?
It will be totally fine if Nico doesn't personally impact a single recruit. It's a top 10 class regardless. But you guys are making zero sense with this narrative you are running with.

My point is that the statement "Nico hasn't impacted recruiting yet" is factual. That's all. At least when I say it, it is 0% an indictment on Nico or anyone else for that matter. I'm not saying anything in your post is wrong. What narrative? That Nico is having a massive impact on recruiting? If you can’t see that then you are blind. I have heard AP say it. Josh Pate and others have said it. It’s common sense. A big time QB like Nico always has a massive impact on recruiting. Does it mean we are gonna get every single blue chip talent we target? Absolutely not. Nobody has said that. But if you think we are in the mix for guys like Kasper, Tate, Williams, the 5* OT and some others without Nico then you are crazy.

You're being ridiculous. Of course the dotted line is what matters. You don't get them to sign on it without their interest, visits and making their top lists. My point is that the statement "Nico hasn't impacted recruiting yet" is factual. That's all. The narrative I'm speaking to is that this the first time in VN history anyone has tried to count top 5's and recruiting visits as wins. Y'all know the game as well as anyone. There's no second place trophies in recruiting.
