"We" aren't paying him anything but a scholarship. I seriously doubt that Heupel will be basing his starting roster on what Spyre is paying them, but rather on who gives us the best chance of winning. Heupel is getting paid to win games.

He is a teenager and has only played for a short time. I'd imagine there are tons of things to work on. It's a testament to his natural talent/athleticism that he's so far advanced and highly regarded at this point in his development.

The Long Beach (Calif.) Poly five-star quarterback and Tennessee commit messed up the date for the Rivals Camp in Los Angeles, so he showed up rushed. But that did not affect his performance at all. Iamaleava showed off his skills – like he has at every event – as he has great size and a phenomenal arm and he remains the No. 1 performer so far. He had excellent accuracy that day and a charisma that receivers love as well. The five-star is smooth, capable and not only wants to perform at the highest level but also have fun doing it. Everything looks so natural in his game.

We are in on a lot of decent targets on defense.

Do I think enough emphasis has been placed in that arena? No. No question we hve to step up there, esp in secondary and LB. But everywhere, on defense is lacking.

Cannot go another year with lackluster defensive recruiting.

Meh we're in it for at the minimum with 3 defensive 5 stars and I say we land Bradley

I have a feeling that our defensive haul will be much better than most think it will be. I look for a fairly elite class overall. A 9+ win regular season will all but assure a top 7 type class. I also think our team's defense this year will surprise in a positive way.
