‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

Easy now, I can read a calender too... It wasn't a "knock" on Nico, just an observation..... 🙄

My apologies for coming off as rude.

I just think it’s kind of pointless to worry about a teenagers weight while still in high school.

I’m sure he’ll have the resources to bulk up once he enrolls here.

That’s bold. Newton had a cannon.
I don't think you realize (and this is a completely serious statement) that Joe Milton throws 60 yard passes like most QB's throw a 12 yard out route. He has beyond freakish arm talent. That has been one of his biggest issues previously. It appears that our coaches have been able to help him learn to control that Howitzer. Another off season with this coaching staff, and he could be scary good. He will also have had a year of living with Hendon Hooker (they are roommates). Doing film study with HH all off season, and now every week. He is obviously one of the teams leaders, even though he's QB2 and has barely played this season. He knows this offense in and out.

Precisely this. That 60 yard TD he threw against Akron had the trajectory of an arrow, and yet he looked almost casual throwing the thing. There’s having a big arm and then there’s “this guy would be a character in the Iliad if Homer wrote about football” level talent.

To think about all he’s absorbed being pals with Hendon as well as getting coached up for two full seasons and offseasons by the time next year starts should have SEC defensive coordinators sweating already.

Not to harp on this, but it’s honestly one of the best throws I’ve ever seen.

Milton is every bit the athlete, it's more about the mentality. Milton is actually faster than Hendon Hooker, but will he have the mentality to believe that he can take over games with his arm and his legs?
Milton is not the runner cam newton was. Plz get that comparison outta ur head, yes he’s big and similar size, but cam wanted to run, that’s what he did and he knew he was a beast , Milton wants to be a pocket passer and sling the ball and show off his arm talent: two different styles of art my friend.

He’s not as fast but he’s capable of getting 50 ypg rushing. Then he’s got a freaking howlitzer!! Idk how you spell that but he has a cannon. I watched him in warm ups this past weekend and he was dancing and then throwing off one leg throwing it 60 freaking yards off of 1 leg!!! He is freaking legit arm talent wise. If he’s improved over the past 2 years going into next season he could potentially throw for 3000 yards and be great like Hooker has been. Then it’s a competition in 2024 between Jackson, Iamaleava, and whoever else commits as a freshman in that 2024 class. We are setup for success for years to come at the QB position. Tayven Jackson will have something to say about being Tennessee’s starting QB his junior year. If he were here as a freshman when Maurer, Shrout, Bailey, and Gaurantano were here he might have had a legit shot of starting as a freshman. Watching him before each game in warm ups and how he prepares himself is impressive. Milton-Jackson-Iamaleava is a solid core group of QBs.

I agree with everything except the 50 ypg rushing.. not that he couldn’t do it, just that I can tell it isn’t what he’s comfortable doing, and huep is qb friendly, he’s gonna put Milton in a position that suits him best. That being said, I could see some games he rushes for big numbers it’s really up to Milton ya know? He’s got the size, the intangibles, god giving talent, it’s just up to him how he wants to play, his style ?? Football is an art and every player paints a different picture, and Milton’s from what I’ve seen from him so far, he’s not at his best when rushing.
But good lord if he ever got in his mind that hey, I’m gonna get these 10 yards and it’s me vs the other guy bring it!! I don’t see many ppl winning that match up, dude is a stud.
