‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

Cade wasn't even that bad

Agreed. He looked very much like the blue chip recruit he was. Clemson didn’t score, but they did move the ball up and down the field most of the game. He had some beautiful passes, too. I think Clemson has a good one and will be back in the playoff with him next year if they get a better OC.

They need more explosive players at WR if that's gonna happen.

Antonio Williams is a nice slot, but he didn't exactly strike fear into our defense.

I think FSU might give them a run for their money at the ACC title next year

Man if this kid is as good as everyone has raved where in for a hell of a fun ride this next decade! Its sooooo nice to feel confident in a coaching staff for once.I fully expect his brother Madden to be Vol and both could potentially lead us to a championship and a couple Heismans. We just need to sit back and enjoy the ride those of us who's weathered the storm deserve it.

Keep reading freshman don’t need to start, they’re on about every bowl game I have watched. If they are better than than what you got start them is what I think best players play

Don't really think the discussion is freshman starting, it's more that QB is a bit more demanding for many reasons, and it would best for most QBs if they didn't have to start as true freshmen. Klubnik is a great example. Composite number 1 QB overall. Got abused all night and scored 14 points. He's obviously better than the guy he replaced, but he clearly needs a bit more time to develop.

Out of the top 25, I don’t think any team relied on a freshman QB for much of the season. Klubnik just started the last 2 games. I can’t say I know much about some G5 teams.

But UGA, OSU, TCU, UT, Alabama, Utah, LSU, Oregon, Washington, FSU, etc. all relied on veteran QB’s. Caleb Williams and JJ McCarthey are sophomores who played as freshmen. It’s not ideal to play a true freshman QB, but we shall see.

Wasn’t meaning QB , I’ve watched rb, wr, dbs and other positions

I mean let's be real u have to differentiate between an Acc qb and an Sec qb.I fully think Nico could go start as a freshman at Oklahoma or some Big 12 bs.Lot different when ur not facing Alabama,Lsu,Florida and the Georgia's of the world.Cade K for Clemson had 2 games and looked great in the 1st.Anyone thinking that kid isn't legit is crazy or doesn't know football.

They score on a couple of those 7 drives and this migjt be a totally diff story today...Just saying..He made some absoutely beautiful throws in 2 games as a freshman I imagine with a full off-season he's gonna be in the Heisman conversation.Look some kids just have it period and people that know they know lol...

How's he gonna win a Heisman with that trash talent around him?

He won't even be All-Conference.
He's in danger of being like Geoff Driskel, unless they get some real talent around him. AND an actual offensive line

Hey I agree Heisman was probably a big leap but the kids talented and if Dabo can snag one or two elite guys aka Higgins or Roger's types then he's gonna be successful.Great qbs make plays no matter who's on the field.Man I'd take any bet I could this kid is a 1st rd prospect no matter college and very well could be top 5.

If that line can protect him a hold up will be the million dollar question.Offense ain't sh*t unless tbise big boys can play.I think that's one postion that's not gotten anywhere near the love they should be.Their a hugereason for our sucess, without them its a whol3 different storyline. Most of us love the wrs or the quarterback but TN oline play was nothing short of amazing. They had their issues but for a year or 2 time turnaround hats off to Ellerbe he did his thing.

Did you not watch the ACC championship? He played really well

Not saying he didn’t. But look at his stats. He accounted for 2 TDS. One passing and 1 throwing. Take away those and Clemson still wins by 2 scores. Clemsons defense kept UNC out of the end zone. So Klubnik had what Stetson Bennett always had, the luxury of a defense that will prevent the other team from scoring.

Yeah you right. Those stupid team sports
