We didn’t have enough Vol club members at the time to pick up Francis. We were barely at 1000 if that. We still only have 2100+ at the moment. Have to double and triple those numbers to get an entire class full of alpha dogs. We had to pick and choose this class with our current payroll. But still got a nice top 10 class that perfectly filled needs, and used those funds to secure the #1 overall QB and recruit. At some point though to beat UGA at their current level of performance we are going to have to put some NFL ready big uglies on the field to block UGA’s DL.
Yes, more. There can be no weak links, and by "weak" I don't mean terrible. None of our guys are terrible. I just mean there can be no guys incapable of blocking a physical freak. Instead, we need 5-6 guys capable of mauling physical freaks. All legit first round guys.We had NFL ready big uglies this year, and likely got more in this recruiting class. Just need more.
Top performers day 2:
QB Nico Iamaleava (Tennessee) — With an effortless throwing motion and easy delivery, the five-star from Downey (Calif.) Warren was yet again the most impressive quarterback in the event. Iamaleava has a big arm and all the physical tools to make noise in the SEC. On one particular sequence Tuesday, the 6-foot-5, 195-pound quarterback unleashed a frozen rope to the opposite sideline and followed that up with a finesse throw into the end zone between two defenders. There is not a throw missing from his arsenal.
