‘23 CA QB Nicholaus Iamaleava (Tennessee)

I mean, it’s no Picasso, but geez - I’m pretty impressed that someone took ANY time to do something like that. Guarantee that Nico thinks it’s cool. Tough crowd around here on a Friday

I'm just happy none of the Ns were backward --- like people think they usually are in Tennessee.

(...special thanks from PR to the Computer Sci Dept. for installing Grammarly on the Rock.)

Couldn't have been him. Both Nico and UT were spelled correctly.

Nico is the diamond of the weekend and it’s not even close. He is coming to town for three full days as Tennessee will have a chance to really cement them selves with a legit opportunity to land his commitment sometime in the next couple of months. There has been a lot of chatter about Oregon but we do not believe that anything is done and this recruitment is wide open.

From what I remember, people would paint it multiple times a day in some cases. Probably some sorrority didn't know who Nico was and painted Happy Birthday to Becky.
I remember the time all the paint melted and came off the rock in a big pile. The outside temperature was insanely hot and gravity took over :cool::cool:

The rock painting has gone dramatically down hill since the days of Payton---that's embarrassing
To be fair, she was an anomaly. It's always been crap filled with Greek or drunk nonsense.

Wish UTAD would do a scholarship for a talented art major that would handle our important paintings. Win/win.

Not to be too stereotypical but most art focused students aren't that into sports..

Ok, but even if only half are, instead of the typical 80-90%+, that still leaves plenty of other Paytons. For a scholarship, it'd be well worth it. Could probably throw in some digital media folks too, they're obviously artistic. Or open it up to everyone. Idc of course, but would love to have a Payton all the time. Her work is missed.

I think Payton’s paintings of the rock looked awesome… sometimes a little too perfect for my tastes. I like the more amateurish look the rock has traditionally had. Seems more like the people’s rock.
