Headline isn't that weird IMO, given the amount of people that have been whipped up into an LGBTQ+ hating frenzy (almost a decade after gay marriage was legalized) because a couple Twitter accounts told them to

Some in our country thrive on hate. This was true before any social media. It is still true today. People have been murdered for being the wrong color, supporting the wrong side, remaining neutral on "the issues", loving the wrong people, worshiping the wrong deity, and a whole host of other reasons. And even though that reality continues to this day, the good news is we are statistically safer today from violent crime than we have every been.

Would be lead story on Fox for three weeks if a MAGA person was killed for flying a Let's Go Brandon flag.

Oddly, no one mentions race as a factor here, which would surely be mentioned if he were white. I wonder why that is?

Sad for this poor woman and her family because this man let his hatred for his LEO father spill into everything else.

The article weirdly tries to tie this in with a gay night club shooting by a trans shooter and a young man who stabbed a much older man who was chasing him (granted he was chasing him due to homophobic remarks)

You attract what you’re wanting to find. Don’t blame society (or more accurately algorithms) if you’re finding more hate than you’d like. You’re the one seeking it.

So a young tranny stabbed an older guy who said homophobic things? Surprised they didn’t give him an award.

Simple. You see things in your feed that you attract. There’s no dramatic rise in anti LGBTQIA+ crimes. There’s no dramatic change in attitudes regarding lgbtqia population either.

But if you like every video or click every article about a puppy, you’ll get more videos and articles about puppies.

Two seperate events. The article attempts to paint this as a pattern of violence and quotes an activist calling for “rights restricting legislation”.

Event one: November of last year a trans person (also son of a porn star and grandkid of a Cali politician) killed multiple people in a mass shooting at a gay night club.

Event two: group of teenagers heckle gay guys (seemed there were maybe 2-4 adult men and 3-4 teens) outside a gas station. Gay guy chases teen. Teen stabs gay guy.

I would say there was a pretty strong negative shift towards the trans community earlier this year but then, as a lot of us figured, that shiny object lost its luster as soon as the news cycle trudged on.

Don't forget one Alabama fan was murdered for not being upset enough about losing to Auburn. There is a lot of crazy out there.

Do you personally know people who have have been whipped up into said frenzy? I do not recall meeting anyone like that, ever.

That's fine, but sidesteps the fact that hate toward LGBTQ+ people has been especially high since the right abruptly got mad at them again starting in 2022. People were losing their **** for the entirety of Pride Month

There is unequivocally more hate toward LGBTQ+ people, Pride Month, etc. now than there was 5 years ago. More "pedo" BS too, weird to pretend like that's not happening

"Subjective feelings" lmao people were mad at Target for having a ****ing Pride Month display, which they've had for probably a decade straight

The target thing was about bikinis to tuck your penis in, and a lot of the outrage was over them being in the kids section (which I think was false).

No one was shocked that target still has a pride selection like they always do.

So do you have data or no?
