Yes. Where he sees the amounts and decides which one he wants. He doesn't have to go to the highest bidder.

It's a company that's partnering with a lot of recruits and transfers.
I am generally in favor of NIL... but this goes too far. This isn't really a kid using his NIL. It is fans buying players.

Yeah. The only argument is players can sell autographs for whatever they say they are worth. Its hard for me to get behind the value of a NFT but people can make an argument that it's there. Art has always been a tool for money laundering and fraud, and the NFT is just a way that it CAN be done on the internet.

Eh. Pass. I’m fine with NIL, but if he were to commit to us because of some NFT purchases this just sounds like a portal entry in 1-2 years like TAMU. Heupel has a solid culture. We’re using NIL the right way so far it seems. Not sure buying a mercenary would work out for us.

We allegedly gave Nico a massive NIL deal, but he also very clearly has a fantastic relationship with our staff. Dickey I don’t think I have heard say much at all about Tennessee. So I’m not sure what relationship exists. Maybe it’s a good one. Idk.

I agree. NIL should be the cherry on top of why a kid wants to come to UT. I want them to want to come for the atmosphere, the family feel, the coaching, the opportunity to get to the NFL, etc. NIL should just be the finishing touch to push the decision in our favor. I don't want it to be like this. Whichever school offers the most up front will get the player, because with the portal available they are likely to only be here one year and then bolt to where they really wanted to go in the first place taking our money with them. Everything this kid is doing is fine. Perhaps has more clarity as well.

Culture starts with buying into hardwork.
Hardwork towards an initial step.
Then you take more steps such as finding the talent to execute what you want to do.
Another step is creating an environment to where the kid feels like the program has his best interests in heart. That's what Heupel is done.

If this dude were to collect 1 million 2 million whatever, then turns around and immediately starts hyping Tennessee then he's taking that initial step to buy in.
His next step is to get his talent to maximize. This brings us closer to winning.

So far Nico has only done step.one for us.

What I'm saying is, that what this kid is doing maybe more clear and not as expensive as Nico reportedly is, and neither have had the chance to perform yet.

So we should try to get him.

Heupel was in SoCal to see Nico and sounds like he stopped in to see Castles. Now today Dickey news is popping up (he’s from SoCal too). Wouldn’t shock me if Heupel visited him as well
I guess SoCal extends all the way up the coast into Canada.
