A player can be liked, respected, and supported, but it doesn't mean we blindly go homer and roll with the guy just because. There is a ton of those guys on every team. Fact of the matter is, Joe has likely peaked and the team will take a major step back with him at the helm. I'm not bashing the guy, but I know he's not the answer. It's ok to want better and you can't shame me for wanting more or being realistic about our chances with him.
Loyalty and hard work are admirable, but it dosen't magically make him the guy we need. We need ballers. Salute him and hope one of the other guys are ready. Unless you want to run our program on loyalty points and participation awards at the cost of winning.
