They will do that .....ETSU not a school D1 players have high on transfer list....... Go Vols.....

I would wager very little in the way of NIL available with the Bucs as well.

McNamera comes from a quite wealthy family so him stepping down for playing time is not the financial impact it is going to be for many.

He should be the undisputed QB1 in JC unless something unforseen takes place, correct?

Something unforeseen…

That was the only reason. He should have stayed at APSU a year or two more and gotten a better job than Charlotte. It's not ALWAYS about the money.
Agreed. He was still very young. Plenty of time. Plenty of upside. Even though it was FCS OVC, I'd have much rather been HC at APSU instead of Charlotte. Charlotte was a bad choice thinking you could advance your career there. Now he has to repair and ressurect.

Wow......

Bet McNamera is not happy.

How does ETSU suddenly get two guys like that from big programs in the span of a week?
Interesting. Both Seniors on last year of eligibility and both with a bit of experience. Not like McNamara is a shoe-in while they bring Criswell along. Getting over recruited at ETSU gotta sting a little.

Made $145K a year at APSU. Averaged about $800K annually at Charlotte for 4 years. Getting $280K at ETSU.

Have enjoyed following some of your career changes on VN. Would you not have attempted to make Charlotte work for 4X the pay you were getting - I would . I’d guess no coaches on the rise expect to fail at their first high paying mid major gig. Will likely expected to make it work at Charlotte. Hopefully he does well at ETSU and parlays that into another high level opportunity.

Ya'll probably remember this, but I had to look it up:
Committed to Notre Dame: Abortive
Enrolled MIchigan December 2019
2019 did not play
2020 backup
2021 started all 14 games, 12-2
2022 lost starting job to J. J. McCarthy
2023 Iowa - had season ending injury in September
2024 Iowa - started 7 games, quarterback roulette afterward. I didn't immediately figure out the reason
2025 Committed to Western Kentucky: Abortive
2025 ETSU.

This is his 7th year and last year of eligibility in college. So evidently, he got an extra hardship year from his injury, I guess.
