No Vol should hate Kentucky more than Alabama, Florida, or Georgia. At LEAST those three teams. Most Vol fans are actually apathetic toward Kentucky in football because there's really no hostility. It's expected that the Vols cruise to a W. That will never change as long as Tennessee keeps beating them. However, I have met my fair share of obnoxious Kentucky basketball fans. THAT'S a whole different ballgame right there. It's the second time I've used this expression today, but they are definitely a "t-shirt fanbase" in basketball, and by that I mean they have an abnormally high number of people who buy their shirts, don't know anything about the team, yet sport their gear and run their mouth like no tomorrow when they win games. And I'm in Michigan, where a lot of people pull for Sparty. Kentucky's appeal reaches all the way out to here. I have met my fair share of diehard true-blue Kentucky fans, and I've also sadly run into the obnoxious bandwagon/fake fans that no true fan wants to have on their side.

I don't doubt that - When Cal leaves that will take care of most of that. If you go to Rupp Arena the chances of running into one of the "t-shirt" fans goes down - most of the average joes you'll run into there really do know their stuff.
